That is total bullshite, I hate it when people say things like that. The play was called a catch on the field, there was absolutely NO indisputable evidence to overturn that call. The call should have stood and worse case it looks like you tie the game and it goes into overtime and personally I think you guys had the MO. But Stanford didn't beat you guys you were in a position to tie it up and go into overtime. Whether you like it or not the Zebra's beat you guys.

Personally I think it was bullshite overturn, ruled catch on the field they showed every single angle and the bottom line was there was no evidence to overturn it. Even the announcers were saying there was nothing to overturn it. I know people don't like to think of conspiracy theories but that conspiracy all over it. No way Washington makes it to the BCS NC game, but the winner of the Oregon/Stanford game has a damn good shot but not if Stanford has a loss. To me that was so controversial on top of the fact that he took forever for the ruling, just proves the point. It has to be conclusive evidence to overturn the call on the field "which was ruled a catch" if it is overturn-able it should have not taken 3 minutes to figure it out.

Personally I think your post is bullshite.
1. Announcers aren't replay officials
2. The replay official takes as long as it takes to be SURE of his ruling. You have no idea long it took for all the video feeds to get to his monitor or how long he looked at it
3. Conspiracy? Damn, the sure sign of a dumbass argument.

The replay official reviewed the video and determined the ball hit the turf. Maybe your talents are better suited to search for the shooter on the grassy knoll.

Did Washington lodge a complaint about the call? I honestly don't know. I do know that they were not giving the refs an earful when the call got overturned.

Kind of tells you all you need to know if they didn't argue on the field or in the days afterward.

I do get a kick about living in a world where people have conspiracy theories about STANFORD controlling the PAC 12, though.

EDIT: Not really a response to arrakis. He was just the guy that posted before me.

The call on the field shouldn't have been overturned.

The problem with this analysis is that they did beat you with special tams. That gave them a two score lead for most of the second half. If the game had been tied, Stanford doesn't go into a shell offensively. Shaw called that game not to lose. In the end he didn't pay for it.

I can give you the conservative play calling for maybe the last 8 minutes or so of the 4th quarter, but they aren't closing up shop on the offensive side of the ball for "most of the second half". And yes, they did beat us on special teams and very badly. That was the major reason that we lost the game.

Yes, Washington did file a complaint to the Pac-12 about the call. They told Washington that it was conclusive in the video and that it was the correct call and that was that. They also said that the replay booth did not have any other angles that we weren't shown on TV.

I don't think it's a conspiracy at all. Pac-12 fans just know that the officiating is horrific in this conference and you can expect to get screwed over quite a few times during the season. You just have to hope that it doesn't cost you

Ball was definitely trapped. Washington played a great game. Fortunately we were able to make enough plays to come away with the victory.

I don't see how they can overturn the call since you can't see if his hand is between the ball and the turf or not.

it should not have been overturned, hopefully it doesn't come down to a play like that this weekend.
