That’s a fair assessent .

No guests on Mondays sucks.

But they get guests in and they’re just as good as ever.

I still Listen but not as much as I used To.

They were great because they were outsiders satirizing mainstream sports media. Now they are mainstream sports media. I don’t think it’s necessarily anything they did wrong they just lost that outsider edginess as they became more popular. I certainly don’t think it’s on its last leg but I agree that they could use a short hiatus to refresh. They are still the voices I want to hear when something big happens in the sports world.

Like others have said in this thread, it boils down to two things, at least to me:

1. Big Cat is just stretched too thin by doing more at Barstool and dealing with the kid
2. I think the Penn sale has changed a lot of the site's stuff in general. It turns them a little more mainstream and they can't be as off the walls as they used to be

I still listen because PMT and The Ticket here in Dallas are good to decent background noise while I work, but those two need a couple weeks off to recharge the batteries

It’s lost something for me for sure. Had to be hard putting out stuff during Covid but even now, I don’t know, just not the same.

This dungeons and dragons thing is one of the worst things they’ve ever done.

And honestly, and I may sound crazy, but I don’t think he’s a true sports guy.

I actually find it quite funny when he’s talking baseball and it’s clear he doesn’t know what he’s talking about.

Cat’s next move will be the broadcasting booth. I remember him speaking about his affinity for live sports announcer back at BRCC

Not sure of your industry, but pretty much everyone I know in marketing/sales types roles are all doing remote work from home now with minimal or zero office use.
