Bama has been to more Rose Bowls than the vast majority of B1G and former PAC teams

Great History and glad I went but one of the worst gameday experiences I have ever had. Concessions are not even in the building. Restrooms ancient. Lines of sight are horrible for most seats.

Iconic setting, horrible stadium

This 100%. And, an absolute logistical nightmare.

Not even close. The seats are a mile away ans the stadium is an absolute dump. Makes the Cotton Bowl look like the Taj Mahal. The Sugar Bowl is the best bowl atmosphere, with it being so close to the bars, restaurants. Pasadena is nothing special. People actually believe the "Granddaddy of Bowls" BS. Overrated

What a melt.

By the second quarter? It will be perfect way before the game even starts.

What's funny is the childish vitriol at the Rose Bowl.

Guess you never loved CFB; neophyte to the game?

SEC fans are easily triggered by the mere mention of the Rose Bowl game.Yes, the Rose Bowl does have poor sight lines and is isolated from the Pasadena commercial district. But for TV viewing it is a better game in my opinion and tends to draw a larger audience of viewers who have no partisan interest in the outcome. The Sugar Bowl with Ole Miss and Georgia is more like a conference game and will lose the ratings war with the Rose Bowl. It’s all about the TV audience.

The playoffs will get ratings across the board because they aren't playing at the same time. People will be watching.

quote:

QwikDrain System: The Rose Bowl installed this matrix, which involves perforated pipes and a specific base of materials.

Layered Construction: The system uses layers of sand (around 6 inches) over the drain matrix, providing both drainage and a proper growing medium for the turf.

Collection & Evacuation: Water filters through the sand, enters the drain pipes, and is carried downhill to a collection area or storm drain system, ensuring rapid removal from the surface.

Engineered Slopes: The field itself has precise slopes designed to direct surface water towards these drainage points.

Still should be, and mostly is, on any football fan's bucket list.

Definitely worth going to once before you die but needs a lot of updating. The actual stadium is fine. The bathroom situation is a disaster

The Rose Bowl game just needs to be moved to SoFi permanently.
