i've lost interest in football in general

hell, sports in general

i think most people similar to me have, but a lot adjust and start betting games to create an interest

I still have more interest in sports than other things, but I feel the same way.

I'm sure it's from getting older, but Espn and watching younger people completely lose their shite had a huge impact on that too.

College football and the constant debate between fans has soured things too.

Watching golf has become more interesting to me though. But I think that has to do with me understanding the swing more and feeling like every time I watch the pros I'm learning.

yep, it's called growing up I remember the days when I would be depressed for weeks after my team lost. Now I'll be upset for like 5 mins and then I don't give a shite anymore.

I will admit though, if LSU or the Saints lose, I have much less interest in the rest of the games that day than I would if they had won.

Two things lessening it for me:

1) I finally realized it doesn't make any sense to have my day ruined over something over which I have absolutely no control, especially when a lot of the people who do have some control over what happens are as interested in the money they make or the tail they get as they are in winning. I mean really, if you are pulling down a few mil a year how long does it take to get over a "crushing" playoff loss.

2) The hype beats me down and makes me feel manipulated. No matter how "huge" the game is this week there will be another one as "huge" next week or next year. Even if your team wins a Super Bowl when they lose the next year it's all forgotten.

Perfect hype example - all the crap about the Vikings-Packers game yesterday that would make you think starting a guy who hasn't thrown a pass all year is some kind of huge advantage

If that was the case why wouldn't the Vikings just start him anyway even if Ponder was healthy?

The answer is they wouldn't because that was all just bullshite to keep the ratings up.

Over-Saturation isn't a good thing.

Along the same lines, when people tell me they were embarrassed because "their team" lost, I really have a tough time taking them seriously in life.

There are plenty of other entertainment options like catching up on Dexter or go play Flag Football

I hate the Saints because I feel like they take away print and interest from LSU. Just me.
