I think he has a decent chance of pushing Jordan down to #3. Not sure if Giannis can make it to #1 though.

also wouldn't mind Toronto getting a shot.

frick Toronto, but I can definitely get behind the Bucks.

Coach Bud was a longtime Spurs assistant (to the point that for awhile he was viewed as head coach in waiting if Pop retired sooner).

Still love George Hill.

Have actually met/played pickup with Khris Middleton when we were both at A&M.

Who can hate Greek Freak?

Agree with OP. Fun team, and would be a feather in the cap of small market squads in the league if they can pull it off.

they would be terrible.

I think it'd be hilarious though, seeing as everyone was bitching about lack of parity at the beginning of the season.

That matchup would be basketball porn though.

Both teams play great team ball. Jokic vs Greek Freak would be something to watch.

Why do people care about this? I just like basketball. I couldn't give less of a damn about which matchups produce higher or lower ratings.

I mean I'm hoping the Rockets win, but if it isn't the Rockets I'll definitely be pulling for the Bucks. Not even sure the Rockets can beat them if they make it past GS.

Nah I'm a Rockets fan. Htown born and raised. It's crazy cause I've literaly heard analysts call Houston a "small market team" before and that free agents "wouldn't wanna go there because it's a small market" as if we aren't the 4th largest city and 6th largest metro area in the country.

That's because most "analysts" consider any market that isn't New York or LA a "small market." It's so lazy

The casual fan would love an underdog story that would be spun, but the Bucks are no underdog.

They have an incredible net rating.

The other storyline would be the First Take style narrative that Giannis has ascended as the face of the league. If he wins MVP, DPOY and Finals MVP, it would absolutely be correct.

It's not just those two cities. You wouldn't hear them calling Chicago a small market team, or Boston, The SF Bay Area, Miami, DC, or Dallas. Somehow we don't fit into that group for some people.

I hope so mainly as a "frick you" to the major markets and to show superstars that the grass isn't always greener in those markets.
What superstar would ever leave the team that the Bucks have put around Giannis?

Not many, that is the point. Milwaukee isn't considered one of the "big market teams" so breaking through the trend that your career will only be at its best in Bos or LA type markets means some players may be more willing to spread their talent to other franchises instead of sucking off 3 or 4 franchises every year.

Hey I'm with you. I will watch the Finals no matter what, but what I said is a true statement.
