For whatever reason I never liked the guy and thought he was always overrated. Total dick move by asking the Mavericks to release him this year to "spend time with his family" only to turn around and sign with OKC two months later just bc he and everyone else thought they were a shoe-in to the Finals.
Glad to see it blowing up in his face. I know Cuban is loving it
I have been basically shitting on Derek Fisher and Mark Jackson the whole playoffs.
They both come off as phony to me, their emotion, the way they talk, everything. They both rub me the wrong way.
Loved seeing him jack up 2 airballs in a row last game.
Don't even get me started on how much of a douche he was during the lockout negotiations last year.
I don't follow his bullshite much, but it never fails, year in and year out, by the end of a season that fricker is on a title contender. It's like magic. Didn't even know he was playing for the Thunder until I started watching them in the playoffs and saw his douche little face shooting a shitty 3-pointer.

You realize that the family "excuse" to leave Utah for the Lakers was because his daughter had a rare form of cancer in her eye.
Some of The best doctors for her were in la, so fisher wanted to be in la to be with his daughter undergoing cancer treatment as an infant.
Remember the playoff game in Utah where Fisher flew in from New York as his 1 year old just had cancer treatment and showed up in the third quarter only to hit a big three to tie the game late on.
I could never hate Fisher after that.

he also refused to play for Houston when traded there and after getting released he signed with OKC near the end of 2012
which adds even further proof to the bullshite excuse/lie he used with Utah because Houston has the best cancer hospital in the United States.

You are a fricking idiot.
Clearly, you do not understand that there are a ton of different types of cancer and Houston may overall be the best at treating it, but it may not be the best in this specific form of cancer. His daughter's cancer is very rare.
Furthermore, I believe his daughter's cancer is in remission and has been for the past few years. As a result, he can play for any team that wants him on the roster.

this has been discussed.
you also realize that during his two seasons in Utah he earned salaries totaling - $12,257,500? (btw the two most lucrative years of his entire career)
also you realize just how close Salt Lake City is to Los Angeles? he's an hour and a half away with a nonstop flight.
obviously the issue with his daughter is/was serious, but that's not the issue. the issue is that he is a liar and has done this before and did it again with Dallas. he quits when he's not on a media darling/bandwagon team and lies his way out in order to jump ship.

How many big shots did Fish make that, if he didn't, the Lakers wouldn't be on their way to a title?
how many other players in the league could have easily hit those shots with players like Shaq, Kobe, Gasol, Bynum drawing all the defensive attention?
his most difficult clutch shot was the one against the Spurs that shouldnt have even counted.

you're the fricking idiot. its not about which hospitals are better. pay attention child.
clearly you have trouble understanding Derek Fisher's habits of lying to his teams. IF Los Angeles was the only place that had the hospital that could treat her condition, then WTF has he been doing hanging out in Dallas and OKC after using that excuse to bolt from Utah? surely he's made enough money to where he could retire if he couldn't find another b-ball job in L.A. lately.
you do realize she is still dealing with it right?

Do you really think he wants to be a short flight away from his daughter at this time in his life? Clearly, she is more important to him than the money and contract that the Jazz offered him.

Nope. That is the issue.

Why do you care? At his best, he was an average starter or a role player. In the present day, he is one of the worst players in the NBA. There is nothing with chasing titles. Sure, it is nice when you can stay with a team and win with them, but Fisher was never good enough to be a cornerstone of any team, let alone a championship caliber team.

then why did you conveniently ignore the question I asked as to why has he been hanging out in Dallas and OKC lately if that was his excuse to bolt from Utah?
the poor girl is still dealing with her issue. why did he go even further away from L.A. and Utah?

Link?
ETA: Obviously, it is always a risk to return, but I thought that she was doing much, much better.

When you guys provide with a legitimate link that his daughter is still in a very critical condition, then I will think otherwise.
The last time I heard about this, she had her eye removed and not currently receiving any treatment for the cancer.
I acknowledged that he chases rings and does whatever he can to get on the best team at this point in his career. I also thought that his daughter was not basically living at the hospital anymore, so his family could live wherever he wanted to play. Seriously, provide with me a link that shows she still needs daily or at frequent treatment.

I don't recall you saying anything of the sort which lead to this pointless argument in the first place.

Scroll about halfway up the page. I said he chases rings.
I would still like for you and Weebie (who based on his post history makes a strong case for bottom five MSB poster) to show the link I was asking for.

That isn't my responsibility, why do I need to defend something I wasn't even arguing?
I called him a title chaser. I didn't even get into the whole cancer argument until you started contradicting yourself.
