I’ve never bought into the whole “one guy can ruin a locker room” thing

If he screws around he’ll be cut by lunch time
AB can't possibly frick with the locker room that Brees/Payton have worked to strengthen for over a decade now, because he'd be gone before he could even put the slightest dent in it.

Saints have a pretty tight-knit locker room. They might tolerate his bullshite if he comes in and produces like an All-Pro WR immediately, otherwise he'll get tossed right back into the line at the soup kitchen.
High reward

The beauty of this move would be playoff salaries are paid out of pooled league money, so the Saints aren’t on the hook for much of anything, meanwhile they’re forcing Goodell’s hand on having to deal with AB’s investigation.

The fricker already hates us, might as well get our moneys worth and make his life harder

If the saints sign antonio brown they will be adding another reciever

what he's saying is that there would be no long lasting effect after they cut him if he does indeed misbehave. They'd just be back to where they are today

Antonio Brown works out with the Saints
It’s now 2:00 central time and the Saints know the news is out, they have to either have passed or talking to the NFL league office about what happens if they sign him right?
Posted on 12/27/19 at 2:07 pm to SHOtime Tiger
Considering Payton just had a press conference, said they also worked out 6 other WRs today, that no signing was imminent, and that if they did want to sign AB they would need clarification from the league first...

What type of “Last BoyScout” scenario are you imagining?

"Sean Payton said the Saints would need to get clarity from the league on whether Antonio Brown would be eligible to play this postseason if they signed him. Said for now they’re doing their due diligence and he was one of six receivers they auditioned."

I like the bit about how they’re “doing their due diligence”. He’s being investigated for sexual assault and his Twitter account has a pinned tweet that says “No more white women 2020”. I think I just did their due diligence for them.

I think their “due diligence” is about what type of football shape he is in not his social media presence.

quote:I love how everyone wants an exact prediction of what stupid shite AB might pull without which they don't think it could be an issue. As I've said several times, neither I, nor you, nor the saints could predict his erratic behavior. Maybe, at a crucial point in the game, he will get on all fours and piss on the NFL logo to prove a point. More stable players have done the same.
like tweeting something stupid from the huddle? What are you even talking about
