Again when you’re cornered with facts you deflect and move the goal posts. I didn’t say anything about West, I gave the facts of the workout which you lied about. It was a workout, pretending like Jerry West scoured the globe looking for the greatest defender to test Kobe and came up with a broken down and long retired Micheal Cooper is just another one of your fantasies. You conveniently left out that he went up against Larry Drew as well during the workout because you’re intentionally being misleading. The HS comment was meant to clarify another one of your exaggerations to put it politely. You said “while he was in HS” which was false.

You sound ridiculous! It didn't matter how old Cooper was,West picked him for specific reasons!

Why would he scout the world when So.Cal is full of high level basketball players!

Especially since West didn't want any other team to draft Kobe!

It wasn't a worldwide event!
It was a closed private workout

And you mentioning Cooper's age as if detracted from the workout in So.Cali proved what?

What was your point? What did it disprove?

Jellybean Joe Bryant and his teammates were older than Cooper young Kobe played ball with them!

And West still picked Cooper to confirm he wanted Kobe.

If you want facts Kobe had been playing with and against professional and college players all during his high school off seasons!!

No different than Nolan Ryan pitching batting practice to high school and junior college players!!

It's to prove and confirm that you at least are able to compete at a high level, possiblythehighest
level .
.
Kobe had been playing against (pickup ball,1 on 1,etc) & studying professional players his entire life!

Now go and try to find something
to dispute that !

Not comparing careers just skills entering the league. I make that very clear.

Kobe was a raw 18 year old his rookie year. MJ was a polished 21 year old.

Their skill sets were never equal.

He picked cooper and Drew because they were Laker assistant coaches. It isn’t that complicated and happens with every team. Everything else in your post is just more make believe silliness and Irrelevant nonsense.

West never said anything about only using them because they were assistant coaches!!

You are making s**t up!!!

You are the epitome of an uniformed lying dude!

Keep making sh** up to push your fake ,wrong story!

You ready to do a video call to any former NCAA ,NBA or overseas professional basketball player to refute your bullsh**t?

Not true!! Jordan wasn't a great dribble and could not consistently hit jump shot beyond mid range...

His first few years he dominated by mid range, layups and dunks!!

He wasn't a great ball handler and didn't scare anyone from '17-'20 feet..

As I posted above Orlando Wooldridge was the best outside shooter in Jordan's rookie year!!

Kobe was more polished!

You’re a hypocrite. Everything you allege you’re actually the one doing it. You got caught lying so now you’re throwing a fit. Everything you’ve vomited in this thread has been easily debunked and corrected by multiple posters.

Please you and your fellow Kobe haters are just like the people you complain about....

"People Like Me" don't like personal attacks from "People Like You "!

I presented facts when you are spewing bull****!

You labeled it a lie and then preceeded to make up scenarios instead of watching the multiple videos confirming everything I said!

You also claimed you watched both careers unlike me lol..

I presented MY ERA and you had to move on to something else!!

If I was active then obviously I saw both from Day 1!!

Then you make different excuses why West used Cooper and Drew which was your opinion and nothing factual!

Maybe he wanted former players who coached also to assess things things younger players couldn't?

But your logic is fanboy logic not coach, player, general manager, owner logic!!

I can provide others way more accomplished and actively involved today to back my original premise that high schooler Kobe was NBA ready @17 years old.

He was more fundamentally sound than many NCAA and NBA players and had no basketball weaknesses!!

Jordan played better yearly and improved his sufficient but not great ball handling and greatly improved his outside jumper like many NBA players have done throughout history!!

I'm done with this.
I never sign out so I can always be reached.

LSU game, reach out.

I will link you with the people
that agree with my position .

Anywhere in SE LA I am available and it won't be just a stranger you can't id on a device.

They will be visible.

You in So.Cal,The S.F./Oakland Bay Area, San Jose,Sacramento same offer...

You in Vegas,my boy Hollywood Robinson(Mr. Basketball in Mississippi ,played with Sprewell and Horry@ Alabama, 1st round NBA draft pick),I'll arrange a meeting so you can talk rookie
Kobe with him...

He might reach out to Big Shot Bob to confirm that all you dudes that think and say that Kobe could not start as a rookie and had a weakness; don't know what the hell you are talking about!!

Forget all this back and forth on tigerdroppings.
We can meet and I'll let the experts shut you up for good on this subject!

I have expended too much time and energy dealing with your nonsense, disrespect and bullsh**.

I dislike immensely when people let strong opinions represent them even faced with easily proven facts..

You just outright refuse to visit and view the videos and then proclaim since others agree with your foolish takes that yall are
right!!

I have a young cousin playing basketball and football @Brother Martin HS.
I have a young cousin trying to play basketball @DeLaSalle HS .

A childhood friend of mine has a grandson that was a football standout on the Rummel HS defense 2 years ago and the JFK defense last season and is entering his senior season.

I have a cousin in his 2nd year of basketball @St.Aug.

A few football players @St Aug

Plus 3 different kids playing hs sports in Metro Houston.

A few in the CFL trying to get invites to NFL camps after signing with the young and popular agents ignoring the experienced tried and true agents with relationships that I suggested.

These are people that need guidance and advice.

They won't listen to everything but as long as they hear multiple options and opinions, it's their call.

The time going back and forth with you was a waste!

Whenever you are ready I will let some experts send you home with your tail between your legs!

Just hope you have the same energy on tigerdroppings when you relay what multiple pro players who were there tell you!

You have to share it with you fanboys and up voters.

Anytime ,anyplace .

Once again everything in your post is false and you’re doing exactly what you allege I am. And I’m not a Kobe hater, big fan actually but the things you’ve said are false and have been proven so by multiple posters.

The Kobe slobbering since his death has gotten out of hand. I was a huge Lakers fan during the time Kobe came into the league and watched them religiously. He was a talented player that showed great potential, but was an awful team basketball player when he started. Hell he never actually got that great at it and was notoriously killing them with stupid/selfish play. When Jackson came in and they shifted to the triangle offense, and ran things through Shaq, Kobe reaped the benefits and put up more points.

Kobe also did not make his teammates better. Jordan was an a-hole, but was determined to prove himself. Kobe was just a self-centered a-hole that whined a lot and had no respect for his teammates from day 1. He worked hard, but there is a reason the Lakers sucked after 2004 until they were able to magically get an All-NBA level guy like Gasol to be that team.

That is why people hating on James for needing other super players to win titles seem to ignore Kobe didn’t win shite without another player and may have been the best player one of his title teams.

Gasol was the best player on their last title and Shaq was clearly the best in the first 3.

Again, Kobe is a great player, but so overrated by some of you it is unbelievable.

Also, Jackson has said some utterly stupid shite over the years for a supposed GOAT coach, so forgive me for not taking his opinion on some of these things as gospel. He’s also a petty person, read up on it.

Further, West is a great talent evaluator but an egomaniac. He embellishes all the time when he “hit” on prospects. He’s one of the greatest GMs out there but he spews a lot of BS especially after the fact.

In the end, Kobe was a great player but nowhere near as good as some his Kobephiles seem to believe.

The thing is Jackson never said that. What Jackson said was that Kobe was better at getting his teammates setup in the offense and was able to play like a point guard as well as being their #1 scoring option. He added that he never asked MJ to do that and that MJ was the greatest player he’d ever coached. The key point being that neither comment had anything to do with their rookie seasons, that nut job just made that part up. Phil Jackson didn’t even coach Kobe or MJ when they were rookies.

Kobe didn’t start as a rookie, that is a fact. Regardless of all your self aggrandizing you continue to say things that are factually untrue.
