I graduated through all the levels of opiates before I finally got my act together. I’m lucky I didn’t end up like Skaggs because I was well on my way

In some states, dealing drugs that end up killing the person who bought the drugs, can lead to Murder 1.

would open up a whole multitude of problems for doctors and pharmacists, who could fall into the same category, possibly, down the road, if this charge succeeds...

And it should. Many, many doctors, pharmacists, drug reps, even the drug companies were giving out pills like candy, falsifying prescriptions and pushing pills to be distributed all across the country. They are the culprits of the opiod epidemic we are in and it's not a secret.
Proving it case by case is another issue, even the desire to push cases to the highest levels of culpability. If any of those responsible are investigated and can't legally document the reasons for pushing out the pills, frick them and let the rot.

yeah, that was my DOC, and before it became a CII and before they mandated only 325mg of acetaminophen per tablet max, it was possible to sustain that type of habit... but now, with less options to pick from, plus having to have exact counts of your on-hands, it would be pretty much impossible to sustain a habit that bad...

I think from here you are a pharmacist and if so I hope you cleaned it up since these days if this is real, I sure hope so

Skaggs deserves most of the blame too. Taking powerful painkillers with alcohol is a really dumb decision.

agree 100%, though my interest is more on the side of how do they go about allocating responsibility by all parties involved.... very well could change the way I practice and I’m already very judicious with narcotics prescriptions as it is.... lol
