And that's unfair? And I promise those number 1 classes weren't across the board from every site that does rankings. The difference between 1 and 3 in recruiting is very slim

JFF was a 3*. Recruiting is very subjective.

Fair point

Just worry about our own team and enjoy the game of football outside of that. How can you not respect the run Saban is on? May never see anything like it again, don't be jealous of it.

Disagree with this. We are worried about our own team. It's not good enough right now to win championships, as has been proven on the field. And the sole reason for that is because our team isn't coached well enough. Our players are definitely talented enough. Hard not to be jealous when the coach we're now trying to beat once had our team showing the type of discipline necessary to win. There are definitely different approaches, but Saban's works the best.

No but have you even read the thread? The man said that they have an unfair advantage as long as he was there and getting the top recruits

I agree that we aren't coached well enough, but how many LSU fans say well Saban does this and if we had Saban it wouldn't be like that? Let that shite die, we don't have him and we ain't getting him. There are other coaches that can win games. I agree with you that we need to not be satisfied but just stop the Saban shite

Miles is satisfied with the current offense. I guarantee Saban wouldn't be tolerating years of crap offense like LSU has had.

Yeah, I'm willing to wager he is smarter than 99% of this board.

See this is exactly what I'm talking about, why compare miles and saban? That's a laughable comparison. There's no reason to compare them everyone know ego the better coach is, so why?

No doubt he's smart and I'm all for him being the head coach but this bullshite of seeing over every phase of the game is getting old. His offense won't work, why keep trying it?

I don't disagree with his overall philosphy, but he should tweak the playcalling. Maybe his talk of change will come through.

It has been a weird 5 years offensively at LSU, that is true. However, he has the running game down pat.

Yea but he has to learn to coach to win the game offensively. He just passes the time and watts for the defense or special teams to get a big play. You have to attack on offense and especially against the really good teams.

A&M and LSU are our only hope. Florida is well Florida. Georgia will never play them in the regular season. And Spurrier doesn't have the depth.

Bama's softer than most SEC schedule helps them win championships.

this is probably the biggest difference in the two of them. What they'll tolerate.

A lot of that I think is just their make up and while Miles is good in areas that Saban isn't, this category is certainly not his strong suit.

Has Nick Saban caught a bad break in the entire time he's been coaching CFB?

I'm not overly farmiliar with his pre-LSU work, but good christ. He's the best coach without a doubt, and it always just works out for him.

3 1 loss National Champions, including 1 that didn't win its division, and even his first SEC title at LSU was with a team that got their arse handed to them by FLA, but didn't have to play them again in the SECCG. All of the 1 loss teams lost home games to conference foes.

Its staggering that for a guy who always puts his team in the conversation for the championship, the chips have never once fallen against him. it's amazing.

Bingo. Miles is satisfied with our current offense and Saban is far from satisfied with his. They are just different people and it shows. Oh...and to all of the people who say Saban has 3 of 4 because of lucky breaks but that's what makes great coaches great....they create their own luck and win the close ones. I love Miles, 99% of the time, but he really needs to get a real OC and let him call the shots.
