Not sure how a top 15 receiver in the NFL isn’t worth a future 1st.
I think the price tag fits just fine.
AJ has 2 or 3 highly productive seasons left in him. Hurts and the Eagles offense really was the problem this year. It’s a gross brand of offensive football. Don’t blame Brown for wanting out.

I think the Eagles had to make a deal.
So did the Patriots. Their WR1 would’ve been Romeo Doubs

Maye to AJ is going be wild in Fantasy football.. AJ gets a QB that throw the ball down the freaking field
I was a big AJ fan but his advanced metrics the past couple years are not encouraging. His separation, release, and contested catch numbers were all trending the wrong direction. Dude is a freak show athletically and maybe the Philly situation just had him checked out. Maybe there’s a resurgence in his game with the pats and a younger more talented from an arm perspective QB in Maye. Time will tell

It’s funny for all the drama he still put up 78/1007/7 TDs last year in an offense that had him running curls 76 percent of the time
Pats betting on that pick being in the latter third of the first round- which based on recent history and lack of depth in these drafts, would be worth it if they can get 2 really good to great seasons of production out of him. Cashing in on that Maye rookie window. McDaniels going to scheme him up some fun stuff that forces him the ball early and often
Now pay Christian Gonzales and maybe trade for Thibedeux and you’re doing pretty good going into the season

Given how bad AJ Brown played in the playoffs and how low his stock was in general I’m shocked the Eagles got a 1st for him. He’s gonna end up another DK Metcalf. He’s done being a difference maker

A late first isn't as valuable as it used to be with people staying in college longer. You've already seen the quality of drafts dip
That’s a temporary dip. The talent comes out eventually, and the new steady state will be the same as the old steady state.
