Is Belichick using the Red Beaulieu offense?

now we're going to hear how amazingly genius the pats are for running the clock out, when if anyone else does this, they'd be getting killed for being scared

And that is exactly what they just did. They were fricking scared. If Baltimore goes into prevent there just to protect from the deep ball, Brady could have atleast moved them into field goal range, but Belicheck was scared Brady might throw a pick and was just content to go into halftime with a 3 point lead

See? ESPN thinks the Pats are geniuses for running out the clock!

Colin Cowherd
You lead, you get the ball to open the second half and you're at home--you do NOT get greedy with one minute left and 90 yards to go

They were so scared. Brady had a meh first half, Flacco played very well, and the Pats still have a 3 point lead. Why would they be scared?

Thats just retarded, what Brady couldn't have gotten 1 first down against a defense playing 90 yards of prevent?! Get the frick out of here Cowherd

How would that one first down help them? The chances of them even getting into field goal range were minuscule, and a useless ball thrown around tends to find Ed Reed.

People still listen to this idiot? 99% of what he says is stupid shite and the other 1% of it that makes him pat himself on the back for being "so smart" is no shite stuff like "It's really cold in New York in December" or "Tom Brady is a good quarterback".

I really hope NBC steals SVP so I don't have to waste my time with anything ESPN-related outside of game broadcasts.

Didn't the Ravens have three timeouts? So if the first play is an incomplete pass, then you have to do well on 2nd down or the Ravens call TO, force you to convert on 3rd, or they calll another TO and get great field position with about a minute on the clock.

There was a huge downside to risking it. You're up by 3 and you're getting the ball first? I would've downed it too, especially against the Ravens D.

Sho nuff. All said and done, the Patriots didn't really fire on all cylinders, so Belichick decided to play the massive percentages and go to the locker room. Maybe it'd be different if this was last week, but I agree with it.

Skip Bayless
How could Patriots be inspired by that awful Anthem sung by Steven Tyler? At least give him some screaming guitars to camouflage voice.

The point is, the Ravens had the entire football field to defend when they would have just focused on the big play most likely, leaving you almost no chance to give the ball back unless you turn it over. So they played scared because they thought Brady would frick it up. It may have been the smart decision, but it is also a boring decision, why wouldn't football fans dislike this approach?

Fuuuuuck, New England obviously just made some adjustments at half. Brady and co are tearing an epic defense to shreds

This is why most fans are excited about McDaniels coming back. We aren't a bad running team, Bill O'Brien just tends to get away from it for whatever reason.

Oh I know, Green-Ellis was my top RB this year in fantasy and then just disappeared in too many games down the stretch. Bill Obrien single-handedly cost me the championship this year
