The speed at which I'm realizing they develop at this stage is incredible. It's like they're a new little person from week to week. It's unreal.
I have to work hard to keep up, and the pace is only picking up

We just started trying. Wish us luck.

The talent pool isn't being doubled. You're misunderstanding the goal.
There are already female officials. Have been for years. Long enough to where it's not even a thing anymore. The pool of talent already includes males and females.
Silver wants to hit a numbers quota that has nothing to do with merit. In a field/industry that is naturally male dominated.

Is your argument that females are better officials by virtue of being female? Laughable position if so.

Way to conflate two different points. Terrible debate tactic.

Good luck, man. Sincerely. It's been the greatest experience in the world, and I can't get enough of it.

Good luck and try not to get frustrated. First kid was quick, second took over a year. We wanted Irish twins, didn't happen

Now you're moving the goalposts. Your original assertion is that the talent pool was being "doubled." Erroneous.
There can always be improvement in employment. Suggesting that it needs to be 50% just because is not an improvement, it is progressing towards a hiring quota for PR purposes. Definitely not "maximization."

Then make a better argument that does not prompt such a conclusion. That's on you.

This is neither a rebuttal nor an argument.
Do better.
Be better.

I'm wondering how log it'll take for #2. Our first was DAMN quick, too. Like, we ran the math and it was definitely within a week of removing the goalie.
So now Aggiebelle has it in her mind that this shite is just on command, basically. We'll see if she's right

there is a disproportionate amount of men who want to refs compared to women.

Wife was on BC that made her only have period once every 3 months. We decided to take her off and try. I asked her How is this gonna work, are you gonna immediately go back to normal cycles or is there some weird transition? We never found out. Took 2 weeks We got frustrated with #2, although the doc said breastfeeding was a mild form of bc itself. She weaned at 14 months and it still took a few months after that so we really got frustrated. Looking back now it was silly to stress about it.

Not every conversation has to be like that. Relax,

Weak. If you're going to try to make a point, back your shite up or own it instead of sliding around when you get called on it.
Just say you like the woke message because it's woke. That's your bottom line. Which is fine. But don't up and pretend it's about doubling the talent pool or improving officiating. That's bullshite and you know it.

Damn. This dude is KNIGHTING hard for women refs and coaches.

If sounding woke improves officiating, then that’s good. I haven’t listened to or read anything Silver has said; not that interested.
Not that big a deal, man.

Only thing that will improve officiating is hiring better officials and training them better/giving them more power to enforce the rules correctly. That has zero to do with gender. Sounding "woke" doesn't amount to a hill of beans. It's illogical to argue otherwise.

Placing an emphasis on immutable characteristics as a hiring requirement is a big deal. I want the best officials, not just the officials that made the gender numbers close to whatever the grand poobah wants it to be.
He needs to focus on fixing the discrepancies in the way certain players are officiated. That's of far greater concern when it comes to improving the refs.
