Bruh....isn't it just the greatest?! I love it so much. He's at the age where he just learned how to catch things so now he wants me to throw footballs and basketballs at him and stuff. Fun as hell.

More men play competitive basketball than women, on every level, by a wide margin.
The # of individuals qualified to be coaches is going to skew HEAVILY male based on that fact alone.
He might as well claim he wants 68% of players to be white, because that would be "fair"

Glad to see silver has a good head on his shoulders

You gotta get yourself two. One for each arm. A complete set. You don't split the love, the heart just grows.

Also, notice how its always male dominated shite that people want women to take over?
Its not like women havent been given their space to create in their image. Why does it always have to be a male dominated movie/place/sport that women want to take over?

To be entirely fair, it’s not like the current refs are great. Less Tony Brothers and Scott Fosters might be a good thing

That's so adorable Yeah Q only knows two logos: Aggies and Spurs, so he shouts them out whenever he sees them now he either wants to play catch or mimic Aggiebelle's dance moves
I can't wait for Q to have a little brother or sister. Aggiebelle is ready, so.....

That sounds like a Hallmark card but I know it's true. That parent to child love is friggin' magical irl. Never thought I'd hear myself say cheesy shite like that but man alive it's the truth.

Only the stuff seen as upper tier.
For some weird reason women aren't lining up to be garbage men (garbage women) or plumbers.

It makes sense to double the size of the talent pool from which officials are to be selected.

Are plumbers and garbage men failing?

The number of male CEO's is too high!
The number of male construction workers, coalminers, and sewer inspector is jusssst right.
Women demand equal representation (even if completely unearned) in the upper echelon of society but think the bottom tier being entirely male is just fine.

Every time he opens his mouth, I dislike him more, and I’ve been one of the first openly on the “frick this dude” train. You’d think he was already low as he could get.

The talent pool isn't being doubled. You're misunderstanding the goal.
There are already female officials. Have been for years. Long enough to where it's not even a thing anymore. The pool of talent already includes males and females.
Silver wants to hit a numbers quota that has nothing to do with merit. In a field/industry that is naturally male dominated.

Is your argument that females are better officials by virtue of being female? Laughable position if so.

Way to conflate two different points. Terrible debate tactic.

It's like when idiots complain the tech industry is only like 15% women, and you point out that women only make up 15% of all computer science graduates, and they still don't fricking get it.

It's so stupid. These people don't care about caliber, they just want numbers that feel "right" to them. It's inane.
And I say that as someone who is a fan of females in basketball. I hope Becky Hammon becomes a head coach one day, preferably for my Spurs.

My little girl is about 6 months older than your boy. Age 2 is out of this world. You're gonna be blown away every day. I wish I could learn as fast as her.
