How the frick are they going to take A-Rod out and leave Granderson in?

Jeter SS
Swisher RF
Cano 2B
Ibanez LF
Rodriguez DH
Teixeira 1B
Martin C
Chavez 3B
Ichiro CF

Is what it should be.

My guess is because he has only played in 221 games the past 2 years with 34 total HRs. Also add to the fact that he hasn't hit a HR in the post-season since 2009 and is 11 for 66 in his past 3 post-seasons while making in excess of $25 million, I could see how the NYYs and fans are pretty pissed.

He isn't even hitting ball hard, not even foul balls... He strikes out and basically over last month of season has been more of a hindrance it seems. Granderson among others is struggling as well but they don't look as lost at the plate and made some better hacks at the ball

I have been hearing the talk show murmurs about dropping A Rod in the lineup, I knew he got pinch hit for by Ibanez, I just haven't seen the games. It just seems like the media puts all of the blame on A Rod and excuses the rest of the team.

However, if the dude is striking out every at bat, I guess you have to bench him.

Because Granderson has a better shot of going 1-5 with that 1 being a home run than Arod

Granderson has been worse than A-Rod. I know there's a short porch in right, and it's a right-handed pitcher, but this is devastating to A-Rod and the team. If the Yankees somehow advance, what the frick are they going to do?

Give me a break.

Granderson has been God-awful. And if you watch, Granderson has had much less competitive at-bats in this series than A-Rod. Alex has hit a couple balls hard this series. Granderson has hit zero. It's not just stats.

I can see going with the lefty against a right-handed pitcher, but I'd sit Granderson. Maybe both guys.

Gardner only has three at-bats since April, and I'd still consider playing him over Granderson.

I dunno about "worse" they have both been terrible but Granderson hasn't come up with runners in scoring position as often this series and failed to even advance the runners. That is probably because he has been batting lower in line up.

i'd still play granderson over arod. with granderson you could catch lightning in a bottle. i wouldnt have any confidence in arod doing anything.

Statistically he's been worse, and competitively he's been worse.

Hopefully he proves me wrong today.

Like I said last night Cano, Swisher, Granderson and Ichrio all need to send thank you notes to ARod for taking all the blame. They have all been horrible (although not as bad as ARod besides Granderson). Adam Jones, Weiters, and Thome might need to thank him as well.

He's 8/22 against Hammel with 4 HRs so this might have been the game to get him out his slump. But Hammel did own him in game 1. And frick him for not being able to get a sac fly in the 8th last night.
