Bird could bang with the best of them but Bird in today’s wide open, free flowing, soft as toilet paper game would have been a trucking joy to watch. I can’t imagine what he would have done without getting raped every time down court having room to pass and shoot. A great quote about Bird was mentally “he was playing chess while everybody else was playing checkers”.
