Gives teams a chance to set up the press when the game is coming to an end instead of just fouling.

So you think teams would try to hold the ball at the opposing teams end of the court at the end of a game?

I'm saying that if you eliminate the 10 second rule (or 8 for pro), then what incentive will a team have to push into the front court? It seems like it would be easier of you could spread the whole team out and dribble around. If a team set up the press it isn't like you have to get across the line.

Think about it like if there were no 5 second call on out of bounds plays

It was bang/bang. It seems they blow the whistle when they see the clock hit 16. There should be another decimal place to make it 16.0. At 16.2 its still not a violation. If they don't add a decimal place, I think they should have to wait till the clock shows 15.

You realize if you start the clock at :24, then the exact moment it hits 16 is exactly 8 seconds right???

I dont think you're getting that part.
