Personally set LA state record with a 208 in 1996 regional playoffs. Team didn't count my score that day.

The head basketball coach at Nichols can vouch for me (he was our sponsor). We played at Lakewood. Long story short I had only played golf a couple of times. Was on the team just to get out of school. When the seniors didn't show they threw me and my set of hand me down women's clubs in there. Two guys I played with in last flight scored in the 190's

Did you go to Ellender? If so, that would make sense.
Also, some high school tournaments had to implement "double par" rules for pace of play. Sounds like it would have helped that group.
