If so, the guy always gets the best out of his teams. No stone unturned I can assure you of this.

How can you say that? He’s literally been at 7-8 schools this decade. He had Trenton Lape and a loaded parkway team and couldn’t get out the 2nd round. This is a bad hire, especially given the names on the market.

It’s Trent Lape, and he along with the ULL commit had Tommy John in the summer and were out the entire season. Not sure you know the history with the guy, he’s a really good coach. I know Woodruff, he’s cut from the exact mold and ML would tell you as much.

Then why has he been run off from Dunham, parkway, south terrebone, Zachary and central as an assistant, I think parkview and now central private in 10 years?
And Lape also played the year I’m talking about. Saw it with my own eyes.

I think if you knew much about his history then you would know he wasn’t run off by any of those programs save Dunham. He’s a solid family man, people gravitate towards him and he knows how to maintain a solid baseball program that wins. Those folks over there at Central know a winner when they see one.

I’m just going to have to assume at this point in time you are him because no one in their right mind hiring for any job would think a candidate who has had 8 jobs in 10 years wasn’t full of red flags.

Whatever you say. Quite the underwhelming hire for what I thought was a premiere job. I know several local coaches turned it down due to the political nature of central and likely have to still deal with Leo. Would’ve thought they could’ve done much better than this. He won’t be there in 2 years.

Suppose time will tell. My kids don’t go to Central, but from what I can see the football coach/AD certainly doesn’t play those political games

I was told the same name also and I agree with you. Awful hire. The premier job that was open this year and it seems they had to settle. Time will tell.

I agree. Just completely underwhelming. 2 guesses. They swung and missed at the big names or they weren’t willing to give enough control. Either way, this isn’t a good hire for what I thought was a GREAT job.

It was the worst hire out of Walker, Prairieville, DS and Central. I think Walker made the best hire.

Let me be clear, I do not know who they have hired. Someone else mentioned in the thread central hired the head coach from the other school in central. Well, that would be central private. Sham Gabeheart
