I think we are severely overthinking this. Kraft was likely on his way to the airport, checked his watch, realized he had a free hour, saw a rub and tug and told his limo driver to make a stop. York likely had afternoon activities and found someone that fit his schedule.
Is it stupid and should these folks have advisors telling them better and/or arranging it for them? Sure, but at the end of the day, the most undefeated object on earth flexed again and somebody acted dumb to get it. Water is wet.
