But the ACC doesn't get the respect it deserves!

Good lord at the talent that is going to be on the field in that SEC championship.

That is fricking insane.

UVA will do better in time IMO. Underrated platform for recruiting there between the DC area and the Tidewater, then dipping down into NC.

Locksley being at UMD is problematic for this, though.

LSU will have likely two first round draft picks (second round at least) in this upcoming draft that don’t even count in those numbers... WR Justin Jefferson, and RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire

No, no one was "gassing up" Wisconsin. You, unilaterally, decided to disparage the program.

The lack of four- and five-star talent isn't anything new for Wisconsin. They still put players into the NFL - going into the 2019 season, Wisconsin ranked No. 12 nationally in active NFL players. Not bad for a program with "junk arse talent."

Umm, a month or so into the season many had them as the most impressive team in the country.

Then Illinois happened.

Talent can be coached up.

Remember that the #1 pick in the 2013 draft was a 2-star recruit.

Four....Burrow, Delpit, Fulton and Chaisson could go first round....Chaisson and Fulton may go round two.

Can you link to these numbers please? I only ask because the pre-season blue chip ratio had OSU at 81% and UGA at 79%. Sounds like the difference between 1/2 guys so not a big deal but curious where your numbers came from (and how inclusive they are of transfers as well). The blue chip apparently does NOT count transfers, so Burrow/Fields are not included in the below link

quote:

All signees count. Transfers and walk-ons do not. Non-JUCO transfers are not governed by recruit rules, are not rated anew and — though they’re important — are rarely consequential enough to turn a non-contender into a contender. Walk-ons are almost never rated.

Burrow and Fields would disagree with the above statement as well

He was saying LSU has even more talent than depicted in the stat from OP because we will likely have 2 players go in the first 2 rounds that are not 4 or 5 stars.

Texas has mostly 4 & 5 stars every year yet do nothing with it. Many times the 3* guys who are coached well and develop turn out better than the 5* guy.

One problem is the way these services rate the players. A guy can commit to say Baylor and he's 3* but decommit and go to UT, 4* at the least. Taking the raw talent and developing it is the key.

Not as many sheer number wise and certainly percentage wise than 5* guys being 1st round picks
