Doubt it. Was the USFL supposed to be the next big thing or something? What a joke.

I watched this on Sunday. Definetly my favorite team and Miami became a team that I will root for as long as they are not playing LSU in the future. Those were some bad dudes.

Yeah, I recall knowing a lot of "Miami and LSU fans"...most of them have dropped the former.

Also, these "30 for 30" films...when did they do one on Hank Gathers? I'd like to see that one.

How do you do a 2 hour special but leave out the 01 team which is the best team ever?

I'm glad they left our '88 affair with them.

And 202 yards in penalties in the '90 Cotton Bowl?

God, Ericson's teams were far thuggier than JJ's.

I think LSU was in a small clip. That must have been it.

And yeah, being a "players coach" was definitely a pre-req for coaching those Miami teams. Miles would've fit in well there.

I was kind of disappointed in the Len Bias one. I wish they would have gone more in the Celtics aftermath angle.

I think this should have been a 4 hour film. They failed to cover what I was most interested in seeing and that was the aftermath of Ericson in the Davis era and all the stuff that happened with Coker, along with how post Davis, "The U" became just another abover average program.

Would you prefer they say what is really the word that is on their minds?

Also, they didn't spend any time at all on the fact that Shannon was the one handing out the money. Kind of a big deal since he's the coach now.

That's really not funny at all and shows how truly ignorant you really off. They really weren't thugs at all. They just did things their own way.

First off, I never said that's what I wanted to call them. It's called reality and people's perceptions of others. Their own president wanted to call them that.

Hmmm...okay.

Most of them weren't, you're right. Most of them were wannabes which is why they fought so much with their helmets on.

Dumbest thing ever posted on the MSB? The guy admitted that their were multiple players selling drugs WHILE ON THE TEAM. What exactly constitutes a thug? I agree that dancing/antics on the field doesn't equal thug, but selling drugs...

Steve Walsh and Luther Campbell both talk about how guys on the team would steal stereos to get money, and Bennie Blades mentions that there were guys who sold drugs while playing. The team's arrest record was briefly mentioned as well, but it was actually somewhat glossed over. Keep in mind these aren't exactly stodgy writers from the Miami Herald who are saying these things.

That's more than doing things their own way.

Exactly why would you take off your helmet in a fight?
