the goal is to get the best seed possible. izzo sucking at that is not a positive. his ncaa tourney success is a positive and he manages to overcome poor regular season performance to be successful in the tournament, which he is. that's all very good.

My takeaway from that is that Izzo has an unusual tendency to have his teams playing their best ball when it matters the most.

No doubt when you coach as long as Self and K have that you'll have some bad tournament losses (K has Mercer and Lehigh) but I've always been impressed with Izzo's ability to have teams that don't look great in January and February playing great ball in March.

The Bills are on fiyah !

They were projected to finish 7th in the preseason and will be the 4th seed in the A10 tournament if they hold on.

It's going to take something special to beat Dayton in the A10 tournament, or Dayton not caring and getting ready for the tournament.

Providence is absolutely hammering DePaul. That team is on fire right now. No one wants to see them on the first weekend

ESPN has then vs LSU in an 8/9. I’d prefer that not happen

I honestly have no idea who I would pick to win it all if the tournament started today. It depends on matchups, but I really like Florida State right now

Are we going to skip over the fact that you don’t trust KU in March but feel comfortable picking Florida State who hasn’t outperformed their seeding the last few years?

KU is a step ahead of everyone, but Dayton, Gonzaga, Virginia, Kentucky, and Florida State are all playing their best basketball right now.

FSU went to the E8 as a 9 seed two years ago and went to the S16 as a 4 seed last year (and quite frankly played shitty basketball because they were better than Gonzaga). It has taken a long time but Leonard Hamilton has built a good program with staying power.

I don't blame you. They're dangerous.

This is the one year they outperformed their seed. You can’t say that one bad game is excused and not excuse a few off games for Kansas/Duke/Kentucky. I just don’t see why you would trust them in March over a team like KU.

Maybe, but that's why they play the games. SLU's the only one in the conference that can match up with them and the A10 Tourney rarely goes as planned. The last #1 seed to win it all was us in 2013 and 2009 Temple before that.

With current bracketology, Kansas is the only #1 seed I would have in the Final Four.

I would have Dayton losing in the Elite Eight and Gonzaga and Baylor losing in the second round. The tournament is going to be really good this year.
