Haha not creepy at all. Glad you've had the chance to listen! I just started this thread to see what everyone thought about the game, but also to see who would be pulling for the Tigers. I know some Willises, but they are from Pitkin where I used to live

Holler at me sometime and we'll talk football!

Yeah, he is. Frank goes to our church and shows up at our house a lot. We've gotten to know him real well in our three years in Winnfield. Good kid with a motor that never stops running. He's actually getting a lot of interest from a few colleges

Me too! Bought my 7 tickets in the plaza level at the school today! Can't wait!

On a side note, my uncle is a big JC booster. His sons played there the last two years and are both now starting at Nichols State. We've had fun the last 2 years when JC's girls' basketball had to travel to Winnfield for the playoffs. We won both games and I've been able to rib him pretty good. Of course, now he's talking a lot of smack to me about football.

One good thing Curtis has actually done for 2a football is draw interest because I have no ties to either school but I'm interested in this game solely for the fact I want a public school to beat Curtis.

This isn't 1982, Curtis is the real deal and Winnfield cant throw the football. The QB (Athlete-Running QB that will play wide out in college) and RB are really good for Winnfield, but they will not be able to consitently run the football on Curtis and they have no passing game. Episcopal should have beat them. That was a fumble in over time that the refs called down.

I know you don't really believe Winnfield can beat John Curtis

Check out the 1982 AA Championship game score. Winnfield was an underdog then too to the Mighty Patriots. In the end, Winnfield scored 20 in the first quarter and finished with a 23-14 win.

Ask Calvary how well Winnfield can throw the football. A nice little 7 of 10 night that was effective in opening up the running game. Also, a 62 bomb 30 seconds before the half that narrowed the gap to 21-14. It was that pass that turned the game around.

Curtis was the real deal in 1982. They were coming off three straight titles and won three straight after 1982. Is Winnfield a huge underdog. No doubt. Can they win? Yes.

I can't believe you posted this. Why would you do that? You know what the outcome is going to be. Don't take away from a team like Winnfield doing it legit versus John Curtis.

it is interesting to me how in class 2A, it's not how evangel or curtis or whoever gets to the dome, it's that their best competition always makes it if one of them doesn't
