It should not have been a set amount of laps. Ot should be based on track type/size and a percentage.
I’m good with the 10 lap rule on short tracks, super speedways and 1.5 mile tracks, but that’s too long for road courses. Make road courses 3 laps.

20% of stage on road courses.
10% of stage on 1+mile ovals
5% of stage on short tracks

Thoughts?

Bristol back to Aug night race

Likely the same night as the Knoxville Nationals. I know NASCAR can't schedule around everything, but if there was one grassroots race you didn't step on you'd think that would be it.

I think Atlanta would be Kings Royal weekend but if the Cup race is Sunday night that would actually work out.

Rumor is tgey are scheduling like this intentionally since its Larsons series, to keep him away. And doing qualifying at strange times for same reason.

This guy is a huge tin foil fan and way over the top. He also thinks its intentional

For the Dale Jr bots in my replies:

Nascar catered the entire Wilkesboro weekend to Chase Elliott and his non-nascar racing exploits, yet at the same time, Nascar removed O’Reilly from the weekend schedule so they could schedule Cup qualifying at night to keep Larson from racing the Kings Royal at Eldora. And next weekend you’ll understand they scheduled Richmond night race so Larson could race Knoxville. And this offseason you’ll learn nascar schedules a test so Larson can’t run the chili bowl.

Iowa Speedway's 2027 Cup Series race is July 4. Additionally, the track will undergo a full repave that will begin shortly after the conclusion ot Sunday's Cup race there.

The 10 lap thing is stupid even for nascar.

That’s 20 miles at Indy and 25 at Tall and Daytona.

Given the number of cautions at the end of stages when guys are pushing they could conceivably cut 30-50 miles off the race.

NASCAR is becoming an absolute joke sport.

I think you misunderstand the new rule.

If a caution happens within 10 laps if normal stage end then the caution will end the stage.

So basically they will do pit cycle (and ads) and restart next stage early. That will make stage 2 longer.

Same for stage 2 if yellow flies within 10 laps.

The race length will remain the same.

Joe Custer on Haas not selling charter: "We are dead committed. Gene Haas is an F1 owner and a NASCAR owner, and we intend to keep it that way. His business is strong. We are going to try to figure out Cup as a single-car team. We've got a ways to go, but stay tuned, because we're not happy."

I don’t like adding midweek it hurts other grass roots racing series.

I don’t want to go to any other countries.

frick New York

Not sure what to think about rotating tracks? If it means skipping a year thats not good for fans who make weekends and camping part of it. You will lose their loyalty if you skip. Ans tracks won’t spend as much to maintain. And local community will lose interest if skipped

How about fix the fricking car! And keep your roots! Nascar is not F1 and never will be. Nobody will follow any overseas races. Poorer teams won’t go which further kills grass roots.

They just keep driving this series iff a cliff
