I read a post this morning that people are upset over Carson apparently doing his burnout across the bricks. Did nobody tell him?

Those steel wire brushes are doing more damage than rubber.
I will say, they warned him not to burn out over them. But he just won a race.

So I learned he took his ear buds out before anyone told him.
Indy seemed ok with it
The bricks were just replaced 3 years ago these are not old nor original ones.
That pic of them out scrubbing is just performative bullshite. Looks like a bunch of gov workers paid $1m to do a simple task. Totally done for pics not for anything needed.
If there’s a wreck on the front straightaway and 4 cars spin across the bricks. Would they stop the race to clean them up?

I also had never heard of this suggestion before yesterday. Don’t put bricks down if you don’t want them scuffed up. It’s part of racing!

I think Larson wins today. Has 45 race winless streak. Loves this track and has experience in it even Indy 500. But the extra advantage Toyota is given by Nascar might come into play as well

One other note. Next weekend there are zero Nascar races. Zero Indycar races. Zero NHRA. Zero F1. The biggest dead racing weekend of Feb-Nov.
