Once again Alan has run of of ideas how to set up car for Chase.
If not mistaken HMS has 2 cars in sections at their shop and the 9 is with 48. And the thought is the 2 car teams do even more sharing than all 4. If still true and with Chase paired with a lame duck driver that likely hurts the 9 team too.
Not sure if still the same. But AG is past his prime.

Larson has been in a bad slump for many weeks now. This isn’t a good sign heading into the chase.

He has really fallen off but all of HMS has. My guess is they have issues internally with engineering. Off season you go with a direction for season and then fine tune it all season. At some point you realize its wrong and you go another route. By then you are behind and playing catchup.

Lots of pundits are slamming Nascar for this. 5 laps of yellow, 1 lap of racing then another 5 or more laps of yellow on a big track.
You lose all momentum if the race feel with nothing but commercials. I can hear the channel clicking from my house.

Chase needs a new team where he’s not always racing in the back with idiots. Not sure where. Maybe take Kes seat if he retires, and go to Ford where his dad started and raced most of career.
