My real take on Chase.
HMS helped him before he was contracted so he feels a sense of loyalty.
HMS drivers never air dirty laundry in public, been that way forever. Even Rowdy when he left he personally didn't say things that I recall.
Chase has enough money so isn’t hungry so to speak. If he went to HMS and demanded a new CC it would happen before he left the room. But I think he plays it opposite and lets HMS make the calls. If he were to ask and granted, that then pits the pressure on him if it fails and I don't think he wants that. And he doesn’t want anyone thinking he cost Alan his job.
So unless Jeff Gordon decides to make a move he’s stuck with Alan. I think Alan is decent but had run out of ideas at this stage of career. One of his wins was a strategy win not a great car win. And he tried it again Sun bit it cost him.
He had zero reason to pit Chase so early, was in top 5. At most you gain into stage win but you were going to be top 5 anyways. So a gain of 4 pts for the massive risk? Knowing the stage end means reset so any advantage you had is wiped away. But any loss is not recoverable. It was super dumb strategy on a short track.
Chase will wait for HMS to ever make any change. But the fans see it almost every week, his in race adjustments are pretty bad. This version of car is past what Alan can handle.

It’s well known that both Larson and Gordon have been mentoring Corey Day and speak highly of him. He’s obviously getting groomed into a HMS asset so where does he wind up? The #9, 5, and 24 are safe at HMS for the foreseeable future so does he go to the 88? Will the current Bowman sponsorships stay at HMS when he leaves?

Good question and no answer. Not sure if Day is ready but is anyone really?

Trevor Bayne has been added to the pit reporter roster for USA Sports this season. The rest of the talent lineup will remain the same.
Interesting...Trevor Bayne will be "live at select races reporting live from inside the pace car."
It's been emphasized on this media call that USA Sports (Versant) is completely separate from NBC now, even though a few races will air on NBC. For the NBC races, it's going to be all "USA Sports" branding; it's not "NBC Sports."

A “Days of Thunder” sequel is in the works at Paramount:
• Jonathan Levine is in negotiations to direct, with Tom Cruise to reprise his role as Cole Tricker
• Cruise will produce the film alongside Jerry Bruckheimer

So front row wants to stay in the back or they want the funding Noah brings in

Tom Cruise was always my favorite NASCAR driver. Unfortunately, he stopped driving and embarked on his acting career instead. What could’ve been.

Noah is awful
Does he have financial backers keeping him in the seat?

He is, but the #4 car is the red headed step child of FRM like McDowell is to Spire.
Noah ran well in Xfinity, but hasn’t done anything in cup.

I think so. Not as much as he once did though.
