Just made it home. Had a really good time. The Museum was great. Got soaked Saturday. Was chilly Sunday.

The races can’t all be barn burners . Palou just put a masterclass on the field

Great run by Lundgaard to keep his podium streak going at 3

Huge crowd . Promoters were right in that it was the biggest in the events history

Motorsports viewership last weekend:

1) NASCAR Cup (FS1): 2.560 million viewers
2) F1 (ABC): 2.2 million (updated from ESPN)
3) NASCAR Xfinity (The CW): 1.002 million
4) IndyCar (Fox): 914,000
5) NASCAR Trucks (FS1): 331,000

P18-49 demo:

Stealing from OU Guy in other thread...how does this compare to last year? Some great racing so far.

Its up around 20% YoY

Everyone in the paddock is anticipating ratings will continue a steady ascent after the 500 once Fox's promotion gets into high gear.

F1 was down 1M viewers. While Miami seems to have alot of adoption as a lifestyle event, it seems to have suffered without a huge lead in (unlike last year).

Also Unverified is the best motorsports (indycar/Imsa centric) roundtable "Talk show" going

It features David Land, Tony Donahue (Indianapolis stick and ball radio personality whose also pretty connected in the sport), and Kyle Cuthbertson as the Producer.

Quickly becoming the best weekly Indycar/Imsa/Racing show out there

Also to note. The Indy 500 night Nascsr race moves to Prime or whatever its called for like 6 races. Many loyal Nascar fans will not buy it so Nascar stands to lose viewers and I expect them to watch Indycar races (and Xfinity/Truck) instead. So Indy stands to gain viewers - speaking of does Indycar have many races in the weeks after Indy? They have an opportunity to convert some Nascar fans if so.

Detroit is the week after Indy , Gateway follows it 2 weeks later and then Road America wraps up June.

so 3 races in 4 weeks

Pretty much every weekend from then on until labor day has an indycar race

The Milwaukee Mile should follow Indy.

Agreed but RP has his vanity project in Detroit the following week

Tbh the late season oval density schedule is awesome and consequential .

May seem like Palou has it locked up but short ovals are his biggest weakness and they comprise 4 races in the last month of the season
