The 9th inning got dicey. But the winning streak now at 5 games.

Wish they would figure the 5th starter out. Liberatore is not the answer and they refuse to give a AAA guy a shot. Not going to keep getting saved by rainouts.

Yeah Matz started throwing last week but not sure that is the answer unless he finds it again like late last year. Probably have to trade as expected sooner than later.

25-26 now. Not too long ago they were 10 games under .500

I'd give Robberse a shot. He's earned it.

What's weird is the bullpen is starting to show signs of wear now that the Cardinals are winning games.

Call me crazy, but I think I'd still trade Helsley at the deadline even if we climb back into the division. Not sure who he'd be replaced by though.

Kittredge. Romero is the fireman/true bullpen ace. You don't want to pigeonhole him into the closer role. Fernandez could slot in to Kittredge's spot.

I don't think it's wear as much as leveling out. Still too early for that. Teams are attacking Helsley early and he pumps strikes when we have multi run leads.

Good salvage win tonight. 6 scoreless from the bullpen and Helsley strands the runner at 2nd in the 10th.

Yeah that late night game last night with 6 innings of bullpen meant no one available tonight and they blew it. Oh well, Philly win was way more valuable.
