Dang, wish it had looked like that yesterday. At least we know that both races will be able to run in their entirety today.

Speaking of Dale’s Daytona 500 win, if anyone here is ever interested I would encourage you to listen to the episode of Dale Jr. Download with Larry McReynolds where Larry does a tell-all on the 1998 Daytona 500 beginning with when they built the 98 Daytona 500 car in the summer of 1997. It’s great stuff. Here is the video version of the main part of the interview where he discusses the 98 Daytona 500: YouTube

I likely won’t post during race since I use DVR to FF commercials.

One driver who has caused a lot of super speedway wrecks in past is Keslowski. I like him doing great this year but wanted to mention. Hamlin is another, not as bad but can be wreckless in drafting races.

And can Larson avoid being taken out for once? He always gets wrecked in SS races it seems.

And I assume they throw comp caution on lap 25 or 30 due to rain making green track.

Any predictions for who wins the Daytona 500?

I’ll go with either Joey Logano or Christopher Bell.

Reddick, Buescher (long pick: Josh Berry) are my picks. W/ such little practice time and a lot of young inexperienced drivers in the field, it's such a crap shoot as to who avoids all the early wrecks

For a long shot, I’ll throw out Carson Hocevar in the 77. Don’t think it’s likely at all, but he’s a talented and aggressive young driver.

Goodyear used to run an ad in USA Today every year for the Indy 500, showing every car. I still have a couple of those.

Poor guy has to market the money pit that is spring football. He’s a heel now anyway, why isn’t he trashing the interviewer?

Harrison Burton is Jeff Burtons son? Hell yea I think I found my driver. Really need him driving an Exide batteries car though. If Exide Batteries is even still in business
