It was so good I had to watch it again, twice. Anybody else I think Barcia woulda brought it in hard to try and get a win.

I think if he had one more lap, he would have taken Kenny out. He needed to get just a tad closer. He was faster than Kenny at the end, just wasn't close enough
No way he would have kept it clean if he a chance for a main win. Little surprised Kenny won. Im not as big of a "race" fan for him. He gets talked up a lot of very little success. Crash Sexton was at it again and my man Tomac looked like he was riding a 1980, RM80 against those guys. Dude was off his game
Every thing all tightened up now which is great for us. We actually get to see a championship run and not the one man show it usually is.
ON to next week.

My racing days are over, but I have raced everywhere in the southeast from the Superdome in New Orleans and through the Winter AMA circuit in Florida, and I am confident in my understanding of what happens on a motocross track based on years and years of experience. If you want to have a discussion about how a race played out between two riders that is what this board is for, but don’t think you have any room to tell me ,”……line up and race more often” to prove your point when I doubt you have made one lap on a track for every weekend I was racing somewhere.

Very possible that we raced together then or know each other. For me it was 79-84 when parents divorced, then 89-94 until I wrenched for two years for a Pro from Louisiana. I’m originally from Kentwood but have lived in Denham Springs since the mid 80’s. The rider I wrenched for was from Denham and won a title at LL’s in 93.
I Then got back in the sport from 2009-2018 between MX and off-road racing. The last 4-5 years were mostly traveling with my son racing all across the south. It was a mixture of MX and off-road.
We can agree to disagree on the cross jump, but I will go with Sexton when he said that he didn’t realize Barcia was that close when cross jumped.

I see the Auburn tag on your logo, so it’s possible that we didn’t compete. Unless it was at the old Milton Florida track. We spent a lot of time there in the early 90’s.
I was fortunate, that a friends Dad used to take me racing with them on many weekend in the early 90’s. Places like Gatorback, Muddy Creek, Lake Whitney, Swan, etc. Whem I chose to quote racing is when his dad hired me to wrench for them.
Most of the Alabama guys that I know are off-road racers. Steve Hollingsworth at Fast Laps is about the only old school mxer that I have a relationship with and that came from his sponsorship of my son.

Amazing, I raced many times at the Milton FL track, raced pro 125s, last race there was in 81 or 82

Sexton definitely got lucky on that first incident it was an experienced rider behind him. A rookie not paying attention probably would have landed on his back or panicked and endoed himself. Bad move. The second one I can kind of give him a pass on but right behind the first gives a bad look of desperation blocking and won’t earn him any respect

I was on a Jr 50 at that time! ??
There was a dude from Bama that was supposedly stupid fast there in the late 70’s and early 80’s. They called him the Bomber!
I met the Bomber once in 94 when he came to BR to build a Supercross track in a back yard. It was for Windham to practice on, but was built at a friends house.
I was wrenching for Ray Mitchell in 94/95 and watched him lap the entire pro class at Milton. RC finished 2nd on a 105cc supermini.
Sure wish West Florida MX was still open!

When Sexton and Barcia made contact in the turn and Barcia went down? I considered that racing. Barcia was mad from the cross jump and was trying to clean Sexton out.
In my opinion, that was a retaliation move by Barcia that cost him.

Looked like Chase was almost at a dead stop and Barcia jumped to the inside for a pass. I know I wouldn’t move into the a main line at a creep without looking over to see who’s about to KO me. Can’t say to Justins thinking but if I were gonna clean him up and not axe myself also that wasn’t the place. Both Chases fault imo and now his back is close to the wall in the points and he’s got a Bam-bam coming I believe

I'd like to see KR win one more on the Suzuki before the season is up.

I would also like to see Thrasher beat Lawrence straight up.

Dick move from Deegan to his teammate, Smith.
Posted on 3/18/23 at 6:14 pm to mx886
I didn’t seem the initial interaction. I’m assuming deegan didn’t want Smith passing and was willing to clean him out?
Posted on 3/18/23 at 6:31 pm to mx886
There has to be some beef between the two if Deegan willing to do that

It’s starting to like like Star racing has a reputation built off the back of Tomac.
