The fact that the SHR cars are all out of the top 15 shows how far they've fallen.

Lost all their speed after nascar busted them for the aero thing on the old car and still haven’t found it back. Their R&D department must be far behind the other big teams. I could see Tony/Gene focusing on getting good drivers and crew chiefs and thinking the R&D stuff would just figure itself out in a sense

Yeah, I don’t get what their deal is. I don’t know if their drivers (outside of Harvick) aren’t good at helping them develop the cars or what. They’ve taken a step back, for sure. The future isn’t exactly inspiring, either:
- Harvick is retiring.
- Almirola is just there because he brings a sponsor. He might be in contention for a win 2-3 times a year.
- Briscoe looks every bit as unproductive as Cole Custer was, if not worse.
- Preece is just in his first season there, but he hasn’t been anything to get excited about so far.
- Josh Berry is a talented driver, but what is there to keep him from being the next Custer or Briscoe?
- They’re losing Anheuser-Busch as a sponsor, which is huge.
I’m not sure what the solution is. How involved is Smoke in the day to day affairs? Does he need to be more involved? Does the team need new people running its Cup program? Do they need a new stable of crew chiefs (outside of Rodney Childers)?
Lots of fair questions to ask.

Still misting at the track. Doesn’t even show up on the radar. They are aiming for an 11:30 CDT command to start engines.

The top 4 and 6 of the top 10 haven’t won this year.

All have to make two more stops while everyone else only has to make one.

But unless he wrecks, nobody's touching the 19 today...

That shite was impressive
With 6 laps to go, he was 5th, 2.7 seconds back
