I hadn’t kept up with Indy Car as much in recent years, but damn this Detroit course looks junky. Guess that is to be expected given the city.

When I was watching qualifying, I thought it looked like they built a race course on the grounds of a prison.

Power is on the primary tires and he's on fire. The alternate green tires are falling off. The fact that Power is able to pass everyone makes his strategy viable. Went from P7 to P2.
Edit: Oh, Hinchcliffe pointed out that Power has used up a lot of his push-to-pass, so that can come back to bite him later.

A tale of two young drivers. Alex Palou is the next Scott Dixon: clean drives, consistent performances = championships. Pato O'Ward is too emotional and takes too many risks; he wins races but I don't see how he'll ever win a championship.

This track is ugly, but the racing has been entertaining. Hopefully the 2nd half with be cleaner than this middle portion.

So I thought I would hate this track but I kinda like it.
