And now moves into the top 10 on points.
And a nice 3-0 over Lando so far this weekend.

Wondering how different the set up is for Oscar and Lando this weekend.

I think he was penalized because it took checo out of the race. If Checo continues and keeps the spot probably no penalty. I dunno how I feel about that

100%.

The FIA has moved fully to penalizing the result and not the act. Have to play by the rules as thet change.

The impending penalty for Alonso will be interesting. Know he is going to argue it was a formation lap and not a safety car.

The only replay I saw alo just spun on his own. Why is that a penalty?

Think this was coming into the pits to go onto inters. He probably drove slower than necessary a la Norris in Canada.

Has anyone seen an interview from Mercedes yet?

Wonder if they will appeal.

Not good when you want the sprints to have overtaking.

watching the sprint replay - TIL they need a laptop to start up an F1 car - seems obvious but I'd never thought about it

idc how much it rains at Spa - still my favorite circuit and should never be removed from the race calendar or have the configuration changed

The tolerances are so tight the have to be preheat the engines.

Yeah they actually circulate heated oil throughout the engine before they even attempt to turn it over

Not sure they care since it’s the sprint race. Might appeal Lewis getting points on his license though.

Haas is flat out the worst run team in years or decades. I know Andretti is trying to get into F1, maybe F1 could force Haas to sell to them? At least they would try to be competitive. Hulk was let out if pits too late to even attempt to qualify. Its just beyond maddening at this point, a 3 ring circus runs far better than them. Such a shame but they are tarnishing chances for other American teams to buy in as well, if F1 assumes all would be like Haas. If nothing else F1 should tell them either sell or they will not be renewed for next year.

Hulk told them he felt he was on a good lap and they still told him to box.

Now of course they can see the timings all the way around for the full lap and should know where he stood, but to bring him in with that little time remaining was just stupid. He had to run so hard he couldn't prep, charge battery and such, for the flyer at all and still didn't make it anyway.

Saying that, apparently they were just shite anyway as Mag was only 18th but Hulk has shown to be good in damp conditions. Possibly a missed opportunity for Sprint points that they could really use.

They've needed laptop since the 90's.

Ferrari collects old obsolete laptops off ebay and such to have backups available so they can start/run the old Schumacher cars in their historic program.

Not unusual for race engines. Nascar has done this for decades.

Guenther is a funny guy but him mugging for the cameras while his team is fricking goats in the pits behind him is beginning to lose a bit of it's charm

Is McLaren back? This is cool to see. Happy to see a podium for Piastri after the silly season drama.

Will Red Bull NOT win any GP remaining? This is pure dominance and has been all season.

I can see VER getting bored and bowing out at some point for other motor racing ventures at this rate.

I feel pretty confident RB will drop a race or two somewhere. Aston Martin has fell off the pace but mclaren and merc are capable of winning if RB stumbles. Every team stumbles at some point

Not at all a Lewis fan, but that seems harsh.
