Banchero looked like the player Orlando intended to draft. Its summer league but the tools are there. 17-4-6 in 28 min.

Smith is going to need reps to figure things out. Kind of ugly start.

Houstan might be a player. Again summer league but gave me Doug Christie vibes.

Tari Eason has got to stop throwing up 3s. I'm sure they'll break him of that but he needs to focus on driving and developing his jumper. He got real potential if they can get him from trying to be Steph Curry.

RJ Hampton is useless. Some guys just don't figure it out. He seems like one of those. How he gets 20-25 min a game is perplexing. What you gonna do with a wing that can't shoot 15 feet away? Fultz back will eat his time up. He only 21 but clock is ticking.

I think Banchero is more able to create his own shot right now, whereas Smith needs to be set up more. That will come with time for Smith, but I think both will be just fine. You can see the potential with Christopher and Nix as well.

I know the Rockets are likely hoping for Scoota next draft, but TyTy looked solid last night and could be a good backup PG for them.

Did anyone catch the Bulls/Mavs game yesterday? How did Dalen Terry and Marko look?

Marko Simonovic
Dalen Terry
Jaden Hardy

I was watching it more for the Mavs obviously and Jaden Hardy, but I like both Simonovic and Terry so it was a win-win. Simonovic looked REAL good. He showed a mid-range game which wasn't really prominent in the G-League and was contesting more shots.

Terry played solid as well. I love his game. I'm not a huge Rockets fan, but I like what they're putting together and I thought they should have moved up in the first to take Terry and use him as their point guard. Great passer and solid defender

Good stuff, thank you.

No problem. Unlike most, I enjoy watching the Summer League, mostly due to all the college basketball I watch, so I'm interested in a lot more than just the headliners

This Rockets team is going to be so fun to watch. Still wish they had moved to Terry, but hopefully they can add Scoota onto that squad

Holmgren just got yammed on

I suspect it’ll be for some chemistry and confidence building with guys they’ll for sure be playing with (Jaden Ivey for Cade) against some easy competition.

As far as I know, in order to workout with the team in LV you have to officially be on the summer league roster. Since Ivey and Duren are there, it makes sense to get the practice time in. I doubt Cade plays, or Saddiq Bey for that matter.

Seth Greenberg is fricking terrible. I had to mute my tv immediately the first game he was on this summer league. I had my tv unmuted for a second just now and he said “Jerami Grant is a winning player”. You mean the guy who left a championship contender to take the same amount of money on a losing team so he could get up shots? That’s the exact opposite of a winning player.

Banchero looked the part again tonight. If the kid continues to be able to create his own shot and get to the rim (drawing fouls), he will go 20+ppg his first year. Again, summer league but he is out there controlling the offense amidst chaos.

Banchero made one pass in the post to the opposite corner that maybe only 4-5 bigs in the league could make in that kind of traffic.

Keegan Murray is interesting player. I'm not sure he is going to get the wide open looks he has been getting. Guy completely air balled two 3s that were contested. Could end up being a garbage scoring guy...scores alot due to volume and bad team. Doesn't seem to take many shots below the 3pt line. No post game to speak of. Just kind of floats around.

Dude thinks he’s a star cause he’s jacking up shots in Summer League. Inefficient chucker is not the kind of player who helps winning teams.

I’m worried about Jabari. That dude is gonna need a pg early in his career, and Houston has none.

Offensively yes, but he’ll contribute defensively and rebounding nicely out of the gate.

It's the Summer League. Who else besides Jabari would the Rockets want getting shots up? Maybe their next guy in line of young prospects.
