First ever race I went to that wasn’t at Talladega was the 2004 Coke 600. Man, it was a long race to sit through. Jimmie Johnson dominated and won. I wasn’t ready for the fact that you never get a break from the sound like you do at Talladega when they’re on the back stretch. But it was a blast.

One good thing about these new cars is that they can take a bit of damage (such as a wall scrape) and not be done. The previous Gen cars were done after such a scrape.
