From what I can tell, the Aramco facility that was hit is only about 6-7 miles away from the track.

I understand that it's the nature of the game for a celebrity, and do appreciate the sentiment, but at least pretend that it's coming from the heart. Otherwise it just comes off as fake.
I'm sure saying what amounts to "my publicist told me about that" was a faux pas on Lewis's part.

It seemed like he just highlighted one of the civil rights abuses because he was asked. Hearing a 14 year old on death row seems crazy even here in America. Imagine somewhere in Europe makes it more surprising.
Maybe he got the letter that morning or has no clue on the situation. Or maybe he really justs gets some highlights because of the amount of mail he gets. Maybe his publicist isn't even the one who told him and he heard of it through the family's publicist.

It's an oil refinery, so yeah the options are open.
