What I am gathering, for arm chair analysts, is that DRS didn't open on the front straight which Max called loss of power; then he backed off in Turn 3 instead of making a run.

Mag and Ham both had DRS issues as well. I heard them talking about the drivers possibly hitting the button too soon. If you hit it before the line you don't get it.

How many American drivers could do better than Latifi or Vettel right now?

I predict an American driver by 2024 (I havent kept up with licensure tho). There is so much money out there if an American lands on a team.

Don't know if VA Buckeye has answered but it is melting hot. At least there's a little breeze blowing and I'm in a covered area.

You are welcome, my friend. Glad you enjoyed it.

93 degrees air temp. 2 hour wait for the bus. Some people will be in the bus line 2-3 more hours. Tomorrow will be fun but I don’t look forward to the bus line tomorrow or the heat. Got as balls. At least I got a covered grandstand.

65 euro entry for them. Not bad.

Yeah, that's not bad at all.
Kind of reminds me of Road America with the fans all over.
Doubt they have brat stands though.

They did have hotdog stands. “American Classic” with ketchup and mustard. Ketchup, really?
Also “New York Crunchy Style”. I didn’t even look what they put on that abomination.
Mr Blutarski was up in the Paddock Club eating caviar and shite.

You from Chicago originally? You may be shot for asking for ketchup on your dog at Gene and Jude's.
Haas apparently does have a small update. Gene mentioned "magic parts" in post q interview. (First I've seen them interview him, so that was kind of cool. And he's easy to understand. lolzz)

Invisible upgrade in the Haas
Haas redeemed himself for the Miami mishaps. For the first time since the 2019 Brazilian GP, ??both US Ferraris made it into Q3. And that despite the fact that the US racing team in Barcelona was the only team that did without upgrades. Team boss Guenther Steiner was all the more pleased: "Where are the others who started with half-new cars? We didn't do more than they did with anything. That's called efficiency."
In fact, Haas had a small modification in his luggage, but it remained invisible. The underbodies of both cars were reinforced. And promptly the bouncing was completely gone. "We could go lower and lower with the ground clearance, and the cars got faster and faster. The engineers themselves could hardly believe it," Steiner said amused. Kevin Magnussen praised: "Sometimes a good setup is worth more than the biggest upgrade."

Gene talked towards this today as well. Paraphrashing, but said waiting for the magic upgrades has been their usual; now they want to concentrate on just making what they have work as well as it can.
