I take it the PLL's talent is vastly superior to the MLL? Also, does Rabil still have anything in the tank or is he still around just because he started the league?

Fewer teams & guys are making more contrsct money than in MLL. They're also allowed to make money off their name/existence in PLL unlike in MLL. The merger finally led to that. I predict/hope that over the next 5 year the league grows up to all teams it absorbed in the merger. I'm really hoping for an eventual half touring half home team based schedule.

Rabil definitely existing on a roster due to him creating the thing. But he will certainly still contribute off the bench/at times.

Your buffalo chicken tender sub is the best by far, and you obviously have good taste with your team selection as well.

MLL is done right? Cannons are now in the PLL and maybe a couple more teams are going to be brought in for 2022?

Ultimately it should have just about the same talent as peak MLL but with more fans who are aware of the sport. So the big differentiator is the weekend festival format instead of traditional city-based franchises.

Right?

Yes. Merger brought all MLL into the PLL. Cannons are 1st team to remain/crossover. As the league grows, the understanding is MLL team names/likenesses will return in name as "XYZ Lacrosse Club" or some derivative.

Touring based game schedule model for at least another year or more.
Personally, I think as the league expands they'll advance to a half tour/half home based model in order to keep growing.
The game is definitely faster & stronger now in the PLL. There's a much bigger social media & behind the scenes push.

There was something called LXM that kind of showcased the Bratton twins that seems to have been a precursor to PLL, right?

Yeah that's over now too.

But the NLA just launched & will showcase black, hispanic, indigenous, & other minorities. Should be interesting to see how that goes.

Since there's no home base, how do we decide what team to care the most about? Just base it on their roster/coaching staff?

Big investment in PLL news:

Robert Kraft, Joe Tsai, & others invest big in PLL

quote:

The Premier Lacrosse League raised new funds from investors such as New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft, shoring up the organization just ahead of a third season that gets underway at the Patriots’ stadium.

Among the new investors is private equity firm Arctos Sports Partners, the league said in a statement. Existing backer Joe Tsai, the billionaire co-founder of Alibaba Group, also participated. The financial terms of the deal weren’t disclosed, though PLL Chief Executive Officer Mike Rabil said the valuation increased from previous rounds.

After navigating the pandemic and merging with a rival league last year, the PLL will use the new funds to expand its media team and improve the broadcasts of its live games. It’s also looking to enhance its technology and invest more in youth lacrosse, Rabil said in the statement.
