They still need an overall talent upgrade at OL, so Penei would still be a great pick. But at least Reiff signing ensures they don't need to rely on Bobby Hart anymore which is important. In fact they just cut him.
If they like Slater more than Penei, then it wouldn't be a bad thing to add Slater who can plug into multiple positions and offer an instant talent upgrade somewhere up front. Their OL problems last year weren't just on the edges.
This also brings Pitts into play, which could be fun too.
