It's a lot of money for a number 2 receiver. I'm not sure if McLaurin is a true number 1. But he's going to get paid soon. So that'll be a lot of money for a pretty unspectacular duo.. I'd rather them find a gem in the 2nd or 3rd and spend the money elsewhere..

Not really.

That’s a damn good combo

Patrick Chung retired.
Awesome career after being a bit of a bust then coming back and being an awesome chess piece against TEs

After great conversations with the @Broncos, it's been mutually decided that rescinding the RFA Tender is best for both Phillip Lindsay and the team. It's been a great 3 years in Denver for @I_CU_boy. Nothing beats seeing @EmpowerField rocking as it did when #30 broke a long run.
If the Pats want to add a back, I hope they go this route instead of the Carson/Fournette route

Is this a surprise? Who were their safeties last year besides Devin McCourty and is Mills going to be a starter? I just assumed Chung was coming back but I don’t follow the Pats closely.

It's over. NYG has won free agency.

Nah. It wasn’t 100 percent that he was going to retire, but it’s not a surprise either

Kyle Duggar, their second round pick from last year picked up a lot of that role at SS. He’s going to be a good one, he may have been the best player on the defense outside of the corners last year. Heat seeking missile back there
They also had Adrian Phillips at safety. Both Duggar and Phillips were essentially playing linebacker at times last year because of how thin the pats were at Linebacker, and they actually did a really good job. Phillips has a ton of special teams value and is a nice chess piece so I expect him back

Mills going to be a starter?
Still a lot to be shaken out of the defensive backfield, he’ll play a ton. Not sure if he’ll be a “starter” especially with how many combination they can do up front now, but he’ll be another versatile guy they can throw around at multiple positions.
As it stands now, I’d expect McCourty at FS, Duggar at FS, JC/Gilmore at outside CB and Jonathan Jones playing slot corner, and mills fills in for pretty much all those positions depending on matchups. Bill loves DBs.
His contract in reality is a bit of a 1 year prove it deal based on the way it is structured. If Mills isn’t good they can move on from him pretty clean after 1 year so he’s gonna have to earn it

Twitter talk that there is interest between Juju and the Jets. That would be the most predictable move ever. Juju needs to be the center of attention.

And you will never hear of him again after that....

Mike Glennon has been the backup to Jameis Winston, Mitchell Trubisky, Josh Rosen, and Gardner Minshew. Some journeyman backup QBs earn a reputation for mentoring young QBs. Glennon is the opposite. He’s about to add Daniel Jones to his resume.
Somehow Derek Carr survived Glendon’s tenure as his backup.

Interesting that Andrews isn’t going to Miami. Haven’t even heard of other interested teams which clearly exist but must have been real quiet

Yeah it appears we’ve reached the cold waters of the market already. They said it was gonna be brutal this year. Could see some real good players go for cheap late in the process
Raiders plan on releasing Mariota shortly unless he agrees to a pay cut. Apparently they held on to him in order to let all the starting jobs dry up so he’d be more likely to accept the pay cut

This draft is really deep along the Oline. But Gruden and mayock have sucked at drafting, so I'm not optimistic.
I'm still seething about the Ferrell and Ruggs picks.
