Yes cooks had good numbers last year, but they were garbage numbers on a garbage team with a good QB.

Cooks has had good numbers on every team he’s been on.

And then they hurry up and trade him as fast as they team.

4 teams in 5 years for a proven 1,000 yard WR. There’s an issue there somewhere.

Mostly money. The Pats loved him, but they don’t pay WRs that kind of money and were able to get a first rounder back for him so it was a no brainer. I wouldn’t be shocked to see them trade for him again.

Rams had their other WRs become better players during his time there and couldn’t sign them all so got value out of him while they could

He’s pretty underrated as a player.

As @jeffphowe said, the Patriots have an agreement in place with C/G Ted Karras, a source confirms. This could foreshadow that C David Andrews is moving on in free agency.

Fack. I hated Karas and love Andrews.

@BradBiggs

One possibility that I didn't think would happen: #Bears could wind up parting ways with veteran CB Kyle Fuller today. His cap hit is $20 million and absent a contract extension to lower that figure, it could happen. That's the buzz around the league right now.

This deal has been in the works since last night, source said. Expect it to come in around 1 year for $8M.

Yeah that seems pretty steep for what he’s been the last couple years

the WR market this year is crazy. it almost feels like the C-word, like owners want to reset the market with the craziest position in football
or, it could be that first and second round WRs have been dominating the last few years on rookie deals and this year is loaded at WR for the draft.

Would you rather take a chance and land a Jefferson/Metcalf/Brown/Higgins/Aiyuk in the draft or break the bank for TY Hilton and pray that he’s still maybe as good as those guys?

And what people perceive running backs to be is what receivers actually are.

And Kyler Murray is about to win some people some fantasy league titles.

It’s not the rest of the league’s fault that Bill can’t pick receivers in the first round worth a damn.

But you can release him or trade him eventually and it doesn’t kill your team.

Pay Kenny Golliday 14 mil a year and he’s crap and can’t get on the field, you’re in cap hell.

Saints have proven this does not exist

But I hear ya, I’ve always found it strange that TEs can barely make a nickel but WR make insane numbers even if they are WR2s

The other bonus is that you roll the dice and come up DK Metcalf, you have an opportunity to tie him down before he hits the market.

Who was the best receiver over 30 in the NFL last year?

AJ Green is well past his prime, Julio was injured most of the year. Antonio Brown looked good, but didn’t play half the season. T.Y. Hilton and Emmanuel Sanders are still productive, but they are past their prime.

These are your choices:
Cole Beasley: 82 / 967
Marvin Jones: 76 / 978
Adam Thielen: 74 / 925

Beasley, Jones, and Thielen had very similar seasons, and were easily the most productive WRs in 2020 over the age of 30.

I counted at least 13 WRs 23yo and younger that had at least 50 receptions and 500 yards.

I only found six WRs over 30 with 50/500.
