They basically split the race up into 3 mini-races. Points are awarded for finishing top-10 in each stage. 10 for winning, 9 for 2nd, and on down the line.
Chase Elliott, Bill's boy, is the defending champ. He's the 3rd youngest 1st time champion in NASCAR history and youngest since Gordon in '95. He turned 25 at the end of November. He's the next superstar. This won't be the only title he wins. Kid is smooth as glass.
