The Truck Series needs a few more older, experienced guys. Too many of these young guys are awful at Daytona.

Rain is already a problem at Daytona this morning. Supposed to be having Daytona 500 practice right now, but that obviously isn't happening.

Yep. The National Weather Service has an 80% chance of rain tomorrow for the Daytona Beach area. 30% chance tomorrow night, so maybe there would be a break in the rain for them to run it tomorrow night.

There is a 50% chance of rain Monday, which is noteworthy if they can’t race tomorrow.

They also race at Daytona next week on the road course so they’ll race this thing on Tuesday if they have to.

Yeah, at least they aren’t having to head out west or something. I assume the haulers still have to go back to Charlotte and get the road course cars, but the whole operation isn’t having to move to a different place.

Bad news, though, is that there is also a 50% chance of rain Tuesday.

I’m not sure we’ll see any more action on the track until Tuesday or Wednesday.

Edit: Well depends on what these pop up showers do later in the day.

This big mass of rain/storms should clear in a little while. If we can avoid any other pop-up showers or storms, they might could run the Xfinity Series race this evening or tonight.

Final Cup practice has been canceled. ARCA series race will be messed up, too.

More rain to the east and southeast of Daytona. Maybe they can get the ARCA race started.

I’m pretty impressed they are actually running this ARCA race basically on time with all the rain earlier

ARCA races at Daytona and Talladega are awful. Single file around the bottom and no one makes any move, at least not until it is too late for the move to work.

Best arca races are at the state fairgrounds, Salem, Winchester, etc.

I have only halfway listened, but Jamie Little seems like a decent commentator. She doesn't have an annoying Beth Mowins type voice.
