Daniel Suarez is going to sneak around and end up with a Top-8 this weekend. Watch
I threw $5 on him at 125/1

Fords look to be the Teams to beat. SHR and Penske cars were all pretty strong. I think the 10 and 4 will work together Sunday and will stay upfront most of the race.

Almirola is more of a sell for me. I think his success was a lot to do with Logano in the first duel.

I like the #12, #22 and #4 to win. #20 and #21 if you're into first time winners.

In the last six Daytona races (Feb & Aug), there is only one driver thats has more TOP-5s than the rest of the field not named Denny Hamlin.

Bubba is a trash driver with a trash personality that was gonna get dropped by his sponsors but black daddy MJ came save his arse with white guilt hamlin.

I agree that Bubba is trash but Hamlin did a pretty smart business move to partner with Jordan and bring on Bubba. The sponsorship opportunities were there with Bubba's noose incident.

So is it a Shannon Spake or Jaimie Little calendar that we’d get excited for?

I'm more partial to Shannon.

Man rewatching that Newman wreck was bad

My wife thought he was dead. I was leaning that way, but didn't completely go there.

Dale dying 20 years ago next Thursday is the reason that Newman is alive today.

He should of been dead.

I think he has enough to maybe even win. I don’t think anyone knew what kind of money Pitbull was gonna put into this but judging by his qualifying lap and the way he ran in his dual he’s putting in enough to be competitive.

Was that the race they all wrecked on the first lap and then went to backup cars? I was mad they let Gordon have a backup. I knew the only shot DJ had was if he was out.

Yup

As a Gordon fan it was a good (and long) night

For others who don’t know they threw the green flag right as a downpour started and a bunch of cars wrecked in turn 1. They let the guys who wanted swap to a backup car; some even changed engines. A wild night

Sad to say, I feel like if it happened now the owners would just assume be done than risk the backup car and cost associated. Maybe wrong, All star race just doesn’t feel as important as it once was

NASCAR fans let Bubba know their feelings when he wrecked out of the Open race at Bristol during the All-Star event.

And I’m pretty sure that was before the noose thing. I’m sort of scared to know what the reaction to him would be now bc of the negative press that would come with it

Which is sad and proves my point. He got a team and new sponsors, not cause he is a good driver, but because he's black.

I agree totally. From a business stand point it makes sense.

Maybe, times have changed for sure. None of the races seem as important to me anymore, but that's just getting older I think. Even the 500 is not super exciting anymore. About the only ones I really look forward to is Talladega. That late 90's to early 00's was the peak to me. But that's due to age as well.

I still hate the no locking bumper rule. If NASCAR doesn't want them to lock bumpers then change the aero on the cars/trucks like they did the cup series.
