So to get some actual conversation going....

Best MLB staff? Best MLB lineup?

Staff----
Nationals- not sure anyone can match Max, Corbin, Strasburg, Sanchez although the Mets may be able to with Thor, Stroman, Matz, DeGrom depending on health....

Braves, Cardinals are two other picks to have a really good rotation as the Astros and Dodgers both lost key players who helped and have question marks.

As far as offense I don;t think you can discount a healthy Yankee squad. They were phenomenal last with with Judge only playing 102 games, Stanton 18 games, Voit 118 games, Hicks 59 games, and Sanchez 106. If the health is there this is the best offense in baseball.

The Twins and Astros will also be top 5. Astros are strong top to bottom minus catcher and RF and the Twins just addressed 3B/1B with Donaldson coming in and Sano moving to 1B.

Hard to argue against the nationals pitching. There are a handful of lineups that could be the best

I really really really like the Reds pitching but I want to see them put it together again. I mean they were phenomenal last season and really under the radar.

Cubs have considered/discussed Jacoby Ellsbury. Probably a long shot but Cubs have a leadoff issue and Ellsbury is a surprise free agent after being released. JE hasn’t played in 2 years so before moving forward they’d want to gauge his interest/mindset.
. First time I've heard his name since Yanks cut him

Oh sweet, we're getting people off the scrap heap again. I dunno, maybe this could be a diamond in the rough.

Then again it could be a lot worse.

2 teams haven't signed a single Major League free agent this off season. We are one of them.

Rockies are the other.

For fricks sake, just play Happ in CF and try to bring back what he looked like a couple of years ago.
