Nascar can’t help themselves with this caution bullshite when the wreck is on the back stretch. They have plenty of time to get the cars slowed down if they race back to the checkers.

51 snowball derby winner with the checkered flag at Daytona . Watched him in Pensacola take the flag at Five Flags too. Congratulations to Noah and JRM.

Wasn't excited with the finish but I like Noah Gragson. He has personality, which this young crop of drivers needs.

Throwing the yellow in that situation is dumb and Asscar does it continually.

Had most of the race on and was reminded why I rarely watch anymore. Blah.

I grew up watching when they raced back to the flag and no pit lanes speed limits. And no restrictor plates.

Good times.

Only few places will I pay to see a stock car race. Darlington, Richmond, Bristol and Talladega. I will continue to make my yearly pilgrimage to Pensacola every first week of December. To me, this is the most authentic experience around.

Late model racing is the most pure form of racing left...…

I thought Nasse won the Snowball???
That's right, he got disqualified. Then they gave it to Travis Braden.

I picked Logano to win tomorrow. Hoping it’s a Hendrick driver, though.

Noah won the 51st.
Regarding Nasty Nasse, You seriously think you’re going to get by Ricky Brooks?? It’s called the “Room of Doom” for a reason.

But hey, if you ain’t CHEATING, you ain’t trying right??

Sorry, It is what it is.

He might be 30 but he's still not Sliced Bread.

Kid was always overrated.

It sounds like green flag has been pushed back to 3:18 EST; 2:18 CST due to security/activities surrounding President Trump’s visit. Green flag time was supposed to be 2:30 EST.

They are also warning fans to get there way early because of security. Movement around the racetrack will also be limited, causing some drivers to cancel appearances they had for tomorrow outside of the track.

Forecast for Daytona Beach tomorrow from the National Weather Service:

Sunday - A 20 percent chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 79. Light and variable wind becoming northeast 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.

Sunday Night - A 40 percent chance of showers, mainly before 3am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 60. North wind 5 to 10 mph becoming east in the evening.

I don’t know if I’ve been less excited about this race in the last 15 years.

I’m expecting an awful race.

I'm not sure what to expect. Last year I felt the same way as you do now, and was pleasantly surprised with the competitiveness of the race. Hopefully we can avoid too much single file racing, while also avoiding a wreckfest.

It’s all just gray areas........
I would carry a car to the track with 3 or 4 obvious things for the officials to catch in hoping they wouldn’t find the one thing I really wanted to get away with. The good ole days....

My interest in NASCAR started to wane after Jr left the 8 and joined the dark side 88. With all the changes to rules, scoring, and the "car of tomorrow" there's not much fun watching them do laps and with an early season win halfass it until the playoffs. I can watch the replay of the huge wrecks at the restrictor plate races on FS1/NBCSN and Bristol usually takes until the 50 laps to go mark for it to get interesting. If that's changed please correct me.

I will however make it a point to watch all the MAGA/KAG signs around the track live as The Beast takes a lap. I think most Americans would be interested to see how well it handles at high speeds. (Why I think it's 50/50 that it actually happens...some of that "performance info" doesn't belong in thre public domain.)

When and where you used to run a Late Model? I’m wondering if I ever possibly seen you in Mobile or elsewhere...

Hamlin has failed pre-race inspection twice, so a crew member has been sent home and he will have to start at the rear of the field.

The #9, #24 and #88 failed the first go through inspection and will have to go through again. If they fail again, they face the same penalty as Hamlin.

It almost means nothing to go to the back at Daytona/Talledega

True, unless they go single file. Little easier to work way through the pack at Talladega, though since it is wider than Daytona.
