Absolutely. Woodlawn, McKinley and St Amant don’t prepare you for Rummel, Bro Martin and Curtis.

Seems like only yesterday it was 1997-2000. West Monroe owned them bitches then too.
Then Bastrop later. Shaw has a habit of being someone's bitch.

They are a 4A school that plays up. That’s what most people don’t realize. Almost half of DI is playing up a classification:
John Curtis
St. Aug
Rummel
Shaw
Holy Cross
All these schools are 4A or lower. There are only six actual Division I teams in 2019:
CHS
Brother Martin
Jesuit
Byrd
St. Paul’s
McKinley
And McKinley is the smallest 5A school in the state.
So the LHSAA has a division with only eleven schools, five of which are playing up over classification.
What a joke.

and... the catholic school(private as a whole actually) demographic is shrinking. east bank raids wb but no EB kid is gonna go to shaw.

Let's put these schools where they'd belong then...
John Curtis- nuff said
St. Aug, Rummel, HC- would go into the Warren Easton and Carved 4A district, which would be split in half. One side should be Aug, Rummel, Easton, HC, and Carver. The other side would be Lusher, McMain, Kennedy, Livingston, Ben Franklin.
Shaw- would go to the Karr district where Karr would destroy them, but they'd compete for 2nd with Belle Chasse, Cox, and LW
So this leaves the other D1 schools... Catholic-BR might make an otherwise good 5A district a joke. St. Paul's used to dominate the Northshore, and Byrd and McKinley are pretty questionable that they belong in select.
That leaves BM and Jesuit. Without a Catholic League they'd make half of a split district 8-5A a joke, and they wouldn't even have the bad 8-5A schools in their half

so what you are really saying is outside of WE and Karr and the catholic league schools NO football is pretty bad, by and large. the larger issue is the gap between the haves and have nots is growing...
I saw ya'll had a fairly odd call in your game friday

The odd call I think was on the John Ehret 2 point conversion attempt near the end of regulation... They had just scored to make it 28-27 Chalmette.
We stopped the 2 pointer and went crazy. Then we seen the flag.
Up in the press box we decided it was a false start on Ehret, which since that was a pre snap penalty we couldn't accept or decline what came after. They backed up 5 yards and kicked the game tying extra point

yep... or was it an illegal formation which isn't a foul until the snap - whistle on a pre-snap foul should be pretty loud and clear on any play much less a 2pt try and before the flag - can't have kids getting hurt on a play that doesn't count or shouldn't even be.
Posted on 10/6/19 at 9:36 am to choupiquesushi
We rebuilt a nice stadium and press box, but the worst thing about it, is the windows don't open, so we can't hear much sound in there. I mean that helps statisticians and print and broadcast media do their jobs, I guess

Wherever you are getting your info, it’s completely and utterly wrong.
