no way George should be there over KD and Kawhi. That's absurd.

Well Kawhi missed 22 games due to load management and PG had a better win share than both of them.

George was 1st in RPM, KD was 12th, and Leonard was 29th (and in autopilot during the regular season).

First team: Stephen Curry, James Harden, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Nikola Jokic, Paul George.

Second team: Damian Lillard, Kevin Durant, Joel Embiid, Kawhi Leonard, Kyrie Irving.

Third team: Russell Westbrook, Blake Griffin, LeBron James, Rudy Gobert, Kemba Walker.

Saw that Klay is mad he isn't on the team, and it costs him a chance at a supermax deal. Who does he think he belongs in front of?

The guards: Curry, Harden, Lillard, Irving, Westbrook and Walker.

Maybe Walker? That's the only argument he has likely

I know there's 100 writers that vote on it and you need parameters to meet for something of that significance, but that's still a dumb way to determine who gets a super-max deal or not

Klay was really underwhelming (for Klay) for a huge portion of the year. He didn't deserve it IMO. But I think the video is more just a raw reaction. If you had somebody tell you that you just missed out on like 50-80 million (depending on where he signs), you'd probably be mad too.

I'm not arguing that, but in some ways it keeps the market in check.

The "max deal" contract was a problem for the league. It basically equated Lebron James in 2012 to Joe Johnson. There are tons of examples of this.

In 2018, Otto Porter and Hassan Whiteside were on max contracts. Those guys COMBINED average 24 points for their career.

So creating a supermax and forcing you to have additional accolades helps the teams have some bargaining power back I guess

I know you aren't, was just pointing that out.

I guess it's the only way you could truly do that. Just seems a little screwy that these writers can determine that much in a swing of money

It was the right call to make Jokic a first team all NBA, but frankly I'm surprised he won over Embiid, considering how well known Embiid is.

I'm glad they have 3 true C's on them.

I think the ggfff format is dumb.

Come on, you have 5/6 PG's on there.

Voters are going to choose a playmaker over a 3 and D player 9/10 times.

Fair point, with 5/6 having PG skills, however, that's how the NBA has evolved. A center must be multi dimensional on offense. Joker's skill set is effing ridiculous. He may end up keeping several other "true centers" off the first team All NBA list and I think this is the first of many. The only think holding him back is that he's playing in a smaller market.

The media determining how much money a player can make might be the stupidest shite in sports history.
